He didn’t want to hurt Ignita, either. “I think I need to do this myself, Ignita.” he said, leaning down to kiss her forehead again, trying to soften the blow. “Anything else might come across as you… interfering, trying to parent them. I think that would be worse right now.” He explained, though he would appreciate her support there, he just didn’t think it would go over well. He didn’t want to give the impression that he was replacing Hazel. How much and what level of acceptance Spider eventually gave Ignita would be entirely up to them, and no one else.
