another summons, and this time Spider has been half expecting it. they’ve got that feeling again, the ominous one that hangs in the air and burrows under their skin, the one that makes them want to tear their pelt off. their face is blank as they answer Bas’ call, already guarding their heart against this nezt piece of news. what new ways will the world find to break their heart? they don’t want to know, what to close their eyes to this and bury their head in the sand. but they don’t. instead, when they meet Bas in the Col, they just lift a sardonic brow. “who’s leaving this time?” a joke in poor taste, but everything feels in poor taste these days.
