Spider turns it over in their head, considering. they think of the ache in their heart, the grey parlour that has descended over their home. they think of Delphi and Strai, and the warmth in their chest whenever they’re around them. maybe Strai’s right. maybe they just need…some time away. “i’d have a leave a note for Bas,” they say finally, eyes on their feet. “and it…it couldn’t be for too long.” but the more they think it over, the more it begins to appeal to them. some time away, where they don’t have to watch Bas and Ig build their happy little lives together. where they don’t have to fake a smile and pretend every day doesn’t tear them apart just a little bit more.
