Seeing red

Her defiance grew even as he pushed her into the ground. Her words bold despite her fear. He could scent it, see it in the wideness of her eyes. “My decision!” He roared into her face. A towering giant, a monster. Warlord and dictator. He released his hold on her coat suddenly, smacking a paw into the ground beside her. He leaned back, breathing quickly and trying to pull this burning anger back inside. 


“Our decision.” The thought of ignita betraying him had clearly almost pushed him over the edge. But he as he tethered there for a moment he remembered something else. That he loved her. “Talk me through it, Ignita.” He said softly, sitting back on his hunches. “You killed our chances while I thought we had even odds.”
