Seeing red

She jumped slightly at his movement toward her, her nerves frayed as she swallowed back her fear at his sudden closeness. His paw landed lightly on her good shoulder, was that the burnt one? Or was it the other? Her other shoulder still ached.

And then he said all the right things and she laid her cheek gently over his paw. She couldn't help the weak incredulous chuckle at his labels for himself but sobered as he finished his words. She sighed, and sank into him.

But a thought drifted through her evanescent mind and she nearly gasped with wide-eyed alarm, "Spider! None of this-! None of this deposes them! Or-or Wylan! Our children don't threaten their places, do they? I can't remember if we talked about it!" Suddenly panicked and looked wildly around but then she slumped against his arm with a sigh, completely spent. Not quite fainting but her eyes drop heavily and she becomes weak in his arms. She moaned exhausted,
"I need a nap." She admitted faintly.
