He made it to the birthday, the gift he had purchased from the Armada was still wrapped in the light skins the market wolf had found for him. The little delicately carved mountain that had reminded him of the fight where Delphi had almost fallen - and he had made the choice to save her - was wrapped within. It had felt like a turning point in their lives, one that had led them here. He made his way to Delphi’s side, gracing the other birthday girl with a subtle nod on his way passed.
