The Recipe

Korona's laughter rang out like a bell, full of mirth and challenge as she glanced over her shoulder to see Las struggling to keep up.

“Cheater?!” She called back, her voice a playful taunt carried by the wind. “You know the rules, Las! Raiders don't play fair, we play to win!”

Her paws barely seemed to touch the ground as she surged ahead, the thrill of the race fueling her every step. She could hear his pounding footsteps behind her, could feel his presence gaining on her. The thought of Las catching her, of his triumph, only spurred her on faster. And with that, she pushed herself even harder, her muscles burning with effort and exhilaration.
