Atreyu could feel her own adrenaline surge as the cat looked between them, sizing them up and deciding they were worth the fight. When Atreyu nudged Ellara, she got a nod in return, which would have gained a smile in any other circumstance. Today, however, their lives hung in the balance. When Ellara moved, so did Atreyu, making to flank the cat on the left side. In stereo they attacked the feline intruder, Ellara going for the right flank while Atreyu went for the left side of its face. The most horrible yowl came from the cougar as Ellara's blow to its flank landed. Atreyu acted swiftly to grab the cat's left cheek as it swung its head to snap at Ellara, when her blow landed she would fiercely shake her head to disorient and rend the cheek of the cat. Bigs barked and ran around the cat, biting at its tail as he growled and snarled his anger at having a good breakfast interrupted.
