Her heart pumped so hard she could hear the roar of her blood in her ears, adrenaline surging in her to spur her forward. There was no hesitation, no fear from the spotted dire woman as her friend helped fight off this threat. Her blow had landed on the cat's cheek, and she latched on for all she was worth. She would not relent her grip on the feline invader either, not even as it fell to the ground and had the owls rake its back. For a moment it would seem that the two wolves played tug of war with the cougar, the cat swiping a paw at Atreyu, making her suddenly release her grip. Snapping its jaws at Atreyu, the feline caught a small piece of Atreyu's right ear, making her cry out in pain and then let loose a chest-rattling growl. With her own claws unsheathed, Atreyu swiped her right forepaw for the cat's face, making it rear its head back as Atreyu then went for the throat. She aimed to pin the cat before it could retaliate against Ellara, though she could not hold it forever, her grip hadn't landed exactly right. It could get loose at any moment!
