Loading up

despite Spider’s…mixed feelings around the whole thing, there’s no way they were ever gonna miss Bas’ wedding. that doesn’t mean their stomach doesn’t twist as they approach, however, face a careful mask of neutrality. they still can’t even parse if they’re happy about this union; if it’d been Bas and Hazel tying the knot, the Spider of several months ago would’ve been absolutely ecstatic. but…Bas and Ignita? can they truly say, with their entire chest, that they’re happy for them?

brushing the thoughts aside, Spider moves to embrace Bas, resting their head briefly on his shoulder. “congratulations, old man.” they withdraw with a teasing little smile, but it dims as they glance at Ignita. Spider hesitates, then settles for a silent nod. yep, very mature, very polite. attention shifting, Spider allows the pups to distract them, incredibly glad for their noisy antics. “hey, kiddos! who wants a piggy back ride to the Hallows?”
