She waited to see if her challenge would be accepted. The offer she had laid at Enyo's feet. Of course, she wanted her pack members to succeed, she could care less what they thought of her or how they saw her. Just like everyone else before she became the Alphess of Insomnia. Hell, even when she had challenged her enemy for the crown, she wouldn't have cared if she lost. But alas, she had ended up winning and she just ran with it. She didn't quite understand the mega-pint of tension in the air, if she was honest. She just knew she didn't like the way the punishment had been handled. She didn't see it as fair. A fair fight? Sure. Had the poor guy been given a chance to try and hold his own. Hell, even if they had decided to give him a cool new scar, she wouldn't have cared. Had it all been in a bid for fairness. But that's not what had happened. So here she was.

Both challenging and presenting an opportunity for one of the newer members to rise up in rank. A rank that would grant her the power to both boss around those beneath her as well as issue punishment as she saw fit. To an extent, of course. It would both earn her prestige and respect within the pack. And should she fail, Medusa would expect her to try again in the future. There wasn't a challenge Medusa had not or would not accept to date, and this one would be added to her repertoire.

Her tail lashed with excitement as Enyo appeared to get riled up. She saw the look in her eyes, the tension in her body, the way she practically dared Medusa. And Medusa would in fact, dare to. Erebos' family or not, Medusa did as she pleased and nobody was going to quell the fire within her. Not since she had regained her freedom from Habari. Widow's words about Erebos tickled her brain. How her friend told her that Erebos was the power hungry one. No...Medusa didn't think so. If anyone in these halls was power hungry, it was this woman. Yes, Medusa could tell. The way she held herself. The way she tried to command others. The way she presented herself to those before her. She was hard. Rigid. Her gaze cold. Did she even have a soft bone in her body? Medusa couldn't tell. All she saw was a she-wolf desperate to prove she was worthy.

Much like Medusa had done back in the day in her quest to prove she was, too.

She waited for Enyo to take the first move. Her muscled coiled and ready to move at a moments notice, her sharpened claw covers eagerly biting the earth beneath her feet. Slender frame vibrating with the excitement of what she knew would be an exciting fight. Medusa knew it wasn't play time. But she simply couldn't help herself. The moment Enyo came at her, Medusa cackled wildly as she moved, too.

She knew better than to come at a heavier opponent head on. Enyo's height didn't bother her as she was only a few inches taller than herself, but Medusa knew she couldn't match the bulkier bodies with her thinner frame. No, she was built more for movement as opposed to raw power. So as Enyo aimed to close the distance, Medusa aimed to slip right past the bulkier she-wolf, though not without earning a slight knock from Enyo's shoulder against her ribs as she moved past, only moving her slightly off course. Enyo's teeth, however, would snatch thin air.

What she didn't appreciate through all of this, however, was Enyo's mocking tone. Worthy? She had proven that she was the moment she won the crown from Recluse's undeserving head. Her gaze narrowed. Another one that believed Medusa didn't deserve what she had worked for. Or perhaps that wasn't their thought at all...she didn't know. But Enyo was opening a can of worms that would be better left closed if she knew what was good for her.

While Medusa knew that she herself didn't always think about what she was going to do and she had the reputation for being more of a feral fighter, it seemed Enyo had simply thrown all caution to the wind in a bid to try and overpower her. Big mistake. Medusa abruptly put on the brakes once she was lined up with Enyo's hips, turning around before lunging for the back of Enyo's left thigh, her shoulder seeking to slam into the back of it in an attempt to make her opponents muscle seize up like an unpleasant Charlie horse, teeth seeking to wrap around the muscle in a bid to sink in and slow her down. Simultaneously, her sharpened claws would seek to grip and cut. Her right forepaw aiming for a grip on the inside of Enyos leg, while the left sought the outside. She snarled as she made her bid to attack, knowing full well her opponent could turn on her at any moment. But was she fast enough, was the question.

"Medusa"

As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!

Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:
