Such a heavenly view

She started working on placing down a long row of sticks next getting ready to explain the next bit before Atreyu asked her a question. She looked up at the other woman with a smile. It was a good question and she had a perfect answer for it. "So I think it does, since it can give you the measurements of the cage you build, and also gives you something to attach the next part to." She gestured towards the sticks she had laid out then. "The next step is to lay out your sticks that will form the sides, using the top or bottom panel to measure the exact length if you must making sure to keep the gaps small enough your livestock can't escape. Then with the same lashing method as before lash them together with a brace on both the top and bottom as well as one in the middle to help strengthen the bars. You will have a small side then left to build." She demonstrated placing the top and bottom sticks on the row she had made.

She used more leather lashings to crisscross more and keep the sides sturdy and together. She made sure to lash all three sides together into one long panel that would bend where they needed it to bend so it could form the three sides. Each lashing she made was practiced and honed from having grown up in a home full of crafters and learning from a younger age how to craft such things. She looked up after she finished that, before lashing all three sides to the bottom of the cage, using a new way of lashing the pieces together, by wrapping the lashing tight from one end of a side to the other and tying it neatly on the outside of the cage. "To lash the sides to the top and bottom panels you want to make sure the lashing is flat or your livestock might start picking at it. Wrap it around in a spiral until you reach the second end of the panel and tie it on the outside of your cage so they cant pick at the knotwork. Last thing you want is an escaped poultry with a destroyed cage. Repeat the same for the top panel." She repeated the step with the top part as she explained what she had done on the bottom panel.
