Such a heavenly view

She nodded and smiled as the other woman thanked her. Her paws working to place the next bit of the cage. All it needed now was a handle and a door with a latch. She laid them beside the cage getting the measurements for it easily by doing so. But the other woman walked off so she stopped and watched. Only when she returned did Trixy go on to explain the next steps. "The final steps are pretty simple, we use the first method of laying the sticks out but measure them to fit the short side that's been left open. then we lash them together using the criss-crossing method and two sticks in a kind of x pattern, one on either side so they lay properly." She gestured to the sticks she had laid out and laid on on top in a diagonal across it before starting to lash them together. this was the trickiest lashing to do but it would ensure the cage door was sturdy. "Once that's done you lash it with the second lashing method on one side in only two places though. It will make a hinge that way."

She finished lashing the first stick looking up as Atreyu asked her and she inspected the work of the other briefly before nodding with a massive grin. At the mention that Atreyu might need more sticks she let out a huff of a giggle before selecting the final stick from her pile and pushing the rest to her. "Make sure to keep tension when your lashing the sticks together on the lashing or it will all fall apart." She moved back to her own lashing the second stick on the opposite side of the first and in the opposite direction. Once that was done she started to lash the pieces together, creating a door on hinges for Atreyu to use for her quail. She finished it with tying a longer strip on top in a handle for the woman to carry it and a string to hang off the unhinged side of the door of about six inches in length. The other latch piece much like the handle but smaller and tied to the cage itself. "The handle isn't always necessary, but the latch is a simple tie system. You should be able to simply thread the piece here on the door through this piece here and then tie it back to the door. You can always add another latch too if you don't think what your transporting in it will be contained with just the one. For quail though it should be more than sufficient."

She then picked the finished cage up and moved it to sit before Atreyu. A gift for her to use.
