She nodded to his explanation of how he would begin to teach her to read and looked to the book he put between them. She took in everything he was reading to her, eyes glued to where he pointed with his claw. Every syllable and every word she did her best to memorize how it sounded and the letters on the page looked. Only stopping him to ask every now and again things such as why a T mad a ta sound and a th together wasn't a taha instead of the sound he provided. Some of how the words sounded and looked were strange, but at least she felt like she was beginning to get it. She was a sponge for the knowledge and if she had a tail it would of been wagging. |
