Once he felt he had crammed enough letters and sounds into her brain, he moved onto the next step of the evening. He opened the page to a simple stew and looked at the instructions. “Alright, no doubt we'll burn this.” He said wryly. Acknowledging his own lack of skill when it came to cooking. Perhaps he'll pick something up in this endeavour. 


He set a pot of water over a fire to heat up. “You've been pretty quiet today.” So had he, but that was besides the point. He was still trying to establish something like a connection between them. Damns, he was bad at this. “It's asking for root vegetables first, let's attempt to cut some potato.” He said, handing her a knife built for wolf paws.
