He nearly mistook her for the consort and Teegra pressed her ears. It wasn't like she disliked the Consort, not like she had any opinion on her yet but it was that they could be mistaken for one another. The entire reason why Basilisk even had saved her in the first place. It was a reminder of what he had claimed her original purpose was to his wife. To bear children so they could have more without his wife risking herself.

His question was what brought her ears forward. Right, she could earn her freedom. "Master Basilisk said to tell you I wish to learn first aid and healing.... That my healing lessons are in your hands...." She hoped he wouldn't say no but there were chances he would.
