her reasoning wasn't wrong per say, but it couldn't be so simple. he knew she was not in season, but he tried anyway. gave it his all and came to see to it that it went well. "I see." he stood then, slowing moving towards her as he nestled her neck some before brushing his snout to the side of her belly. his ears erect and attentive as he listened then, his tail giving way to a subtle sway. "May I press lightly?" he said with mannerism & consideration; a thing he never would've offered another outside his mate & family.

after waiting for her response, Érebos brought a single paw to her soft underbelly- near the uterus area. here, he gently pressed the supple bare skin a few times before asking, "Does this feel tender?" he glanced at her then at her underbelly, peering at her slightly swollen nipples and suspecting the uterus to be tender. she seemingly had the signs of a potential litter on the way.. she smelt different too now that he was closer.
