She seemed to hesitate a moment over the knife, before gripping it awkwardly and setting about cutting the potatoes. It was blatantly obvious she had never used a knife before. “If you're going to be a cook, you're going to need some lessons with the knife.” He mused, partly out loud to himself as the water started to boil, and he grabbed what she had cut so far, pouring it into the water.
