Kaija

It'd been a long time since anyone had really seen Kaija's exterior falter. She really wasn't just carefree, slightly over-confident, and happy-go-lucky in the way she liked to be perceived as; she wasn't half as smooth as she pretended she was, and suddenly she felt all those nagging little insecurities start to rise to the surface. She'd do her best to push them right back down, try to regain her footing and hope Wenna saw her just as she had before.
"Yeah, maybe," she replied, just as distantly. There were no men in her life she'd really cared for all that much, not in the way she had for women.
Women...
Her attention was drawn away from her idle thoughts by Wenna moving closer, head snaking beneath her own chin. The touch wasn't something she expected, but she certainly wasn't turned off by it either. Though generally free with her affections, she didn't normally let others so close, so quickly. She felt her breath hitch in her throat for a moment, fumbling mentally over how vulnerable such contact made her feel.
Instead of pulling away, she dared take a step closer, swinging her body around so she was much closer to Wenna now. "Maybe we don't have to hurry back so soon," she suggested softly. There really was something alluring about the surroundings they were in- the way the walls ebbed and glowed, giving just enough light to see each other but little else, everything else dark and still around them. With some hesitation, she leaned forward to nip softly at the side of Wenna's neck, glad to take a moment to drink in her scent more deeply.
