Excellence is a habit

Enyo’s lips curled into a sharp grin at Medusa’s arrival, the sight of the Bone Queen stirring both anticipation and irritation deep within her. The familiar fire of challenge burned inside her. This was a reckoning. A fight for rank. A fight for pride.

Her silver-blue and icy eyes locked onto Medusa’s, unwavering and filled with purpose. "I didn’t come here to try," she growled, her velvety voice low, cutting through the still air.

Without hesitation, Enyo lowered her center of gravity, her muscles tensing beneath her thick, rugged fur. Her broad shoulders shifted slightly as she distributed her weight, preparing to spring forward. The jagged scar across her face pulled as her grin widened, a reminder of the last time, but not a wound she carried with shame.

Her paws scraped lightly against the rocky ground, kicking up bits of dust as her tail gave a slight flick. She exhaled slowly, steadying herself.

"Come on, Bone Queen," she taunted, in a friendly way despite her gaze locked on Medusa with feral intensity. "Let’s finish this."

She braced herself for the first strike, coiled and ready. This time, she wouldn’t lose. Not again. And if she did she would immediately try again and again and again till she remained victorious.
