Oath was out hunting, his senses sharp and his mind focused, when a familiar, heart-wrenching howl pierced the quiet of the prairie. He froze, recognizing Fairytale’s voice, but there was a tremor in her call that sent his heart racing with worry. Without a second thought, he abandoned his hunt and tore across the open land, his powerful strides eating up the distance as he honed in on her location. The love of his life was nearby, but the sorrow in her cry told him all he needed to know - she needed him.

When he finally reached her, his heart twisted at the sight. Fairytale was huddled beside a small puddle, mud clinging to her paws, her frame trembling with exhaustion and cold. He approached slowly, his gaze soft and filled with concern, before he leaned close, pressing his muzzle gently to her cheek. “Fairy, my love… you’re safe now,” he murmured softly, wrapping himself protectively around her. “I’m here. You’re home.” No matter the place, wherever they were together.. was home.

His heart ached to see her so worn, her beautiful face streaked with tears. He nudged her gently, his voice a quiet, soothing whisper. “Fairy… are you alright? What happened?” he asked, his gaze unwavering as he searched her face, urging her to lean into his warmth. “You look like you’ve been through so much.” There was a deep sadness and relief in his voice, knowing she must have faced countless trials to make it this far alone. “You don’t have to face anything alone anymore. I’m here now.” His eyes shone with love and protectiveness, silently promising her that he would keep her safe from whatever shadows lingered over her.
