I see you wild hog.
Hunting Seasonal / Sonnet (Bunni)

Sonnet smiles, her tail wagging as the woman approves of her tagging along. "Oh, I promise I won't get hurt!" She beams brightly, holding back that playful puppy yip she so badly wants to let out. The girl knows that she has to be quiet, but it's hard to be serious sometimes. She'll grow out of it someday, but for now, she needs practice. And practicing with this stranger is the perfect time to do it!
Flicking her gaze on the hog that roots around in the dirt and mud, she inhales deeply to steady herself. Turning more serious, she meets Fic's green gaze, body still and tense as she listens. "Yes, they know," she answers hesitantly. It's an outright lie, but maybe some delicious smoked meat will smooth over their fury when she faces them later. A lesson would be good for her and this lady seemed nice.
Focusing back on Fic, tamping down her nerves that threatened to burst from her, she nods as Fic speaks. Watch out for others, got it. Sonnet nods again, her gaze sweeping the clearing to check the nooks and crannies for other hogs. They appeared absent for the time being, but that didn't mean they couldn't come moments later to help out their friend.
Following Fic's movements, Sonnet lowers toward the ground. Her paws creep forward, careful not to crunch the crinkly, dry leaves beneath her. It would surely give their position away if she did such a thing! Pausing briefly, she leans in closer to listen to Fic's instructions and details. Thinking a moment, she looks back to the hog, assessing its body. While the hog looked thick and formidable, she remembered a hunting lesson from just the other week. "Right behind its head on its spine," she replies in a whisper. "I can definitely finish it if you injure it!" Sonnet says enthusiastically, forcing her tail to tuck between her legs so that it doesn't start wagging loudly in the brush.
