He doesn’t react, not even a flinch, as its body crashed against the water with a distant thud. Instead, he turns away to face the girl, his silver gaze roaming over her figure to ensure she wasn’t hurt.

“It is dangerous out here,” Akito warns, quiet tones stern as he meets her gaze with his own.
