Keep your friends close, There was a moment of silence following his words as they moved further and further through the landscape, and she had not forgotten her original mission. Single-minded almost in her determination when it came to checking something out, and all he had been doing was bringing her closer to the half-buried monolith of metal and scrap. The one Bishop wanted to climb at least looked stable when compared to the others, or at least stable to one of her stature. Now to someone like Zosime, it wouldn't be stable and would possibly start collapsing. This was entirely fine in her mind as there was no reason for her guard to attempt the same feat she wanted to. Keeping up appearances, she hummed in confirmation of ‘making herself something nice’ however there were no plans for that, she already had something in mind for the metal should they find enough of it although it would be time-consuming. Burrowing down into the fur of his shoulders, she kept her eye on the metal beast she wanted to climb, biding her time and letting Zo think she had entirely forgotten about her want to explore. Then it came, the wait paying off right as they moved past the thing. There was a large gap of space between the thing and them and she would have to be quick to avoid being scooped up again but it was a calculated risk. One she was willing to take in the name of learning! Launching herself off of Zosime, she hit the ground with a whumpf that knocked the air out of her for a moment before she took off like a rabbit across the field. Small tufts of grass and mud were thrown up by nails that dug into the ground and helped propel the bundle of black and red fur forward. As quickly as she had moved, it was no surprise when the shadow fell over her, alerting her to how close she was, and letting her know to start looking for a way to go up. Her paws scrabbled on metal for handholds as she dragged herself up the side of it and onto the top. There was a hatch opening that she could dive into but that's not what had drawn her to this one. She wanted to go up and that single-minded focus was put into the task at hand. Bishop didn't have paws like Zosime’s, ones that were dexterous by nature, but she could work with what she did have and she would have to be quick about it before the other finally made his way over to stop her ascent. It took a moment to find a good enough foothold to yank herself up, paws clasping on to avoid risking a tumble off of this hunk of metal. She just wanted to see if it was properly hollow, to see how far out she could view from this new vantage point, and to see if it was as unstable as the pale man thought it would be. A grin curved her lips as she pulled herself up another wrung, followed by another. Each one was careful to avoid slipping on the old metal, to hopefully avoid cutting herself on any of the sharper scraps. Then there came the moment when there was nowhere else to go, able to look out across the open field from her high perch with a giddy feeling in her stomach. Walk, "Talk", "Others Talking", Think |
