and i sang you an old tune
ellara
The moon hung full and heavy during the witching hour. The moon casted her silver glow upon all the land, the light danced across the dark waters surrounding the archipelago. Adelinda moved with deliberate steps along the shoreline of Dove Island. Sharp amber eyes glimmered with reverence. Each of her delicate paws pressed into the cool sand, leaving a trail of pawprints that soon were washed away beneath the gentle lapping of the tide.
This was peaceful, this little slice of heaven. Even the occasional call of a lonely gull spoke to her soul. The air was rich with the many layers of salt, flowers, birds, and the faintest hint of dying plants. It all filled her with a strange sense of calm. She thrived where shadow met light, her long tail swaying behind her, acting as a counterbalance as she climbed over rocks in her search.
She had ventured here in search of a specific plant. In these islands lay Ayahuasca, a sacred key to bridging the veil between the living and dead. She paused at the edge of the jungle, her ears twitching as there was a faint rustle of leaves. Perhaps tonight, she would speak to her parent again or perhaps the visions would show her something even more profound.
"SPEECH"
So, I took my bones and I called them my own
And I found a place inside that's safe for me
And now I wander the world alone but alive
Smiling on the inside
