shark bait

The pale wolfdog couldn't hide her excitement, her curled tail swaying behind her as she watched the three come back closer to shore where she was. Her pink eyes sparkled with awe as the beast revealed itself, beaching itself up onto the sand just as one of the mottled wolves had hoped for. It splashed cold water against her coat as it thrashed and for a moment she thought it was going to slip back into the sea, until the dark one jumped on top of it to anchor it.

"This is amazing!" She barked, grinning as her paws churned the sand during her dart toward the beast. She circled wide, snapping at the shark to keep it's attention divided from the others as she mocked it in a baby voice. "Hey big dummy, got yourself beached, yeah? That's right, keep your eyes on me!" she taunted, adrenaline surging as she successfully kept the shark's interest.
