Water splashed up, the hippo grew angrier. Maybe even a bit scared? Four wolves and a giant lion? How was it going to fend off this group and keep its baby safe? Well, maybe it would learn its lesson!
Not really paying attention to the other wolves, Magdalene continues to bite and scratch at the thick hide of the hippo. Taking out chunks as much as she can as blood muddies the dark water she stands in. Was it trying to move into deeper waters? That wouldn't be good! Listening to it bellow as the lion swept sharp claws at it, she was sure she felt it lurch backwards. Oh, no no it won't!
Releasing her hold, Mags stupidly clambers up onto the back of the hippo and latches on between its shoulders. Digging in her own feline claws, she begins her very dangerous bronco ride on the enraged hippo.

Her most colorful markings are imbued with bioluminescence that glow brighter the wetter her fur is.
