He had just started to go and find the others, seeing that most of his members were off and following Harmony. It was then that his attention was flashed towards Chrono, his body falling towards the earth. Bass let out a bark and a howl, racing forward as the brute hit the waters. Bass desperately searched the muddy water, trying to pick out his body. Chrono had surfaced for air and started to go down, and Bass jumped in the river after him. He didn't care if the river was going to drag him away with him, he needed to save him! He had too! He wasn't going to fail another one of his members, not after losing Hajime. The pale male dove down, fighting against the current to lock his teeth around Chrono's scruff. His lungs screamed for air but he would not let go of the man, he would not give up. He kicked hard against the currents, even more heavy from the wolf he was trying to drag up to the surface. Bass' lungs screamed for relief, and he knew that he needed to breath soon. The Azat was determined, he was not going to simply let the man go to drown. Little did he know that Chrono was already dead, a heavy weight that would not help him reach the surface. Panic filtered through him, and he knew that he either needed to let him go or break the surface soon. Dots of black danced across his vision, but finally his head broke the surface. Gasping in air, he kicked hard, trying to pull them to the surface. He fought against the current, he had been pulled way down by the harsh flow of the water. His muscles groaned and ached, but his teeth were still clamped firmly on Chrono's scruff.

Letting out a cry the boy reached the edge of the water, fighting to pull the two bodies out of the raging water. Laying Chrono down in front of him he placed his ear to his chest. No heart beat was heard, but he would not stop there. Raising his tired paws he placed them on the man's chest, pushing down with all his might to try and pound his heart pack to life. "Don't do this to me Chrono! Don't do this, please!" He cried, tears mixing with the rain as he beat against his chest, trying to awaken him. But no, he was gone. Bass refused to accept it, he was just sleeping right, that's all it was! Just sleeping! He wasn't dead, he couldn't be. Bass had saved him, right? Curling around the man's cold body he let out a mournful howl, knowing that he was just fooling himself. His own body was freezing now, the wind battering his sore body. He couldn't leave Chrono alone though, he would not let his pack mate lay here and get eaten by something. He would be buried properly, and the boy would lay here with him through the whole storm if he had to. Salty tears and fresh water rain mingled around his maw, the taste of his own sorrow driving him into a haste. This was not happening to him, no. Chrono was not dead, not with his mate pregnant with their pups. Bass simply would not allow it. "Come back Chrono." He whispered, laying his head on the man's cold neck.

The onyx dame rested upon the domain as she listened carefully to the voices around her while still trying to prevent herself from be blown away from the wind that was whipping against her pelt. Finally there was orders given, Higher ground was indeed needed as well as some form of shelter. Rising to her paws she shook her pelt out to remove the water that lingered within her pelt before she nodded in agreement.

From the corner of her eye she noticed Bass darting off and so her ears flicked before she realised there was a howl for help. Her eyes flicked from Basses dispersing frame to the rest of the group as Harmony began speaking. Inhaling she turned her form and darted after Bass at a slow pace since the mud absorbed her paws causing her to leap slightly as she ran.Following Bass's scent she panted faintly as she arrived upon the scene. perked ears swirled as she listened to Bass's howl while he lay at the side of the other male. Understanding slightly of what occurred, Her ears lowered as she tilted her head back to allow a soft morn-full howl to escape her lip for a moment before she lowered her head once more and slow moved towards Bass. Soft orbs scanned over the two as she waited.

After a few moments passed she parted her lips to speak " Sir Bass, We must find shelter..." she spoke softly not really knowing what to say or do at this point in time.

Nia subconsciously hated his disability, he would never admit it openly to strangers, tally was the one keeping him sane for the moment. While the sudden ticking inside his head started, making his focus swerve from the speaking wolves, looking upwards at the rain. Tally tapped him on the head just to make sure he would not hurt the poor girl looking his over. If he wouldn't mention it she would have to and seeing as Nia was not looking at her, he did not see what she had said. The art nodded her head for a moment, "My name is tally, Nia here is deaf so I apologize for his behavior." She said. Nina started to move, and Nia noticed chronological. His two different colored eyes widened as tally tugged on his ears he followed her but his heart wouldn't stop beating.

If he wasn't careful there was a high chance he would have an anxiety attack. His eyes came to try and focus on Nona. The girl was pretty even in this rain, the voices were leaving him alone. There was just a ticking noise in his head, like that of a woodpecker against wood. Tally pulling her paws over his head kept him as calm as the unsound yearling could be. Not just to keep him safe but the others as well.

Blurred words went unnoticed. The wing and clashing rain drowning the syllables without struggle. Though, marbled eyes would capture the scene of a motley wolf fighting for his life and her king darting after him. How the male had gotten himself in such a predicament was unknown to her; however, with each rapid moment, the chances of him surviving diminished greatly.

The succubus rushed to the edge of the rapids, eyes scanning for the two. Normally it would have been a situation she would have turned her back on, though, she feared for Bass's life. Truthfully the king's life was the only one she was really concerned about other than her own. The rest would be washed away if their strength was lacking and make way for those who are more capable.

A deep breath of relief would escape her maw when Bass would emerge with the body of Chrono. She made her way to his side as he mourned the death of his friend. She offered the king a comforting nuzzle on his shoulder then shifted so that she could meet his eyes. A firm look painted her face as she would speak to him in the timbre of a royal. Leave with the others. I will see to it that he is buried properly. Abaven needs their king for comfort and for structure.

She would more than likely be fine in the weather, she was strong and even welcomed the endless storm. Besides, did a captain not go down with their ship? She would bury the fallen member properly as promised, though, if it were her home the waters would have been his grave. . . Venus touched her kings left cheek with her nose as a goodbye - just in case the gods decided to claim her too. Go. A last word, an order.

So much was happening, so much help was needed, but Rhythm could do nothing. She would struggle herself, trying to keep her lithe form grounded as the winds tore at her face and her paws. It would fight to sweep her from her feet and into the churning waters below. She could hardly see and she could hardly hear but she knew where she needed to go, she?d been learning the local terrain recently and the name and place were very much familiar. She would hear little else of what was said, but her form would follow after Harmony as she turned to go in the direction of the caves.
Hurriedly she would head off, uncertain of what these events would bring about for their family She had high doubts that this terrible storm was located only on Abaven terra, very likely the rest of their family would be suffering the same fate. How would they fare? -exit Rhythm-

No! She lost Rhythm! Fear showing bright in her eyes, she looked around - maniacally, one might say - for Rhythm; she could see no sign of the dark colored woman. No no no no no. Mira's breath hissed softly between her teeth as she started to move back towards Bass and the rest. Already, mroe members were showing up. Thank goodness. And it appears everyone was sa-
Her thoughts, her hopes shattered as she saw Chrono try to cross the rapids... and fail, tumbling into them. "No!" she shouted, lunging for the river's edge. But she was too far away. Bass wasn't, and she watched with horror as he jumped in. She let out a short, wordless howl, sprinting as quickly as she can, watching helplessly as she arrived too late. Oh, please, no, don't kill Bass, don't let him die! A drawn out whine escaped Mira as she fought the rain and the wind, only to arrive too late to help Bass. Fortunately though, Bass was safe. He was on the bank, although he wasn't alright.
Mira stared at Chrono. "No..." she whispered, before tipping her own head back and singing a mournful howl. A member of her family, lost. Gone, never to return. the song - for it truly was a song - ended; she pushed her way forward to stand against Bass, crouching and pressing her fur against his in comfort. She said nothing, could say nothing - she wasn't meant for comfort. Maybe later, when they were safe... as safe as they could be.
The red woman stood as Venus approached, and she stood next to the higher ranked wolf. Glancing at Venus, she nodded, a small smile of thankfulness on her maw. Maybe she couldn't help, but Venus already was, even if she was ordering their king around. Mira stepped forward again, compassion and love in her eyes as she regarded Bass. "Venus is right. You should go. We should go, our pack, our family. We don't want to lose you, Bass. You are our alpha, our king; our protector. You did right. You were here for Chrono, and I can say that the pack will do the same for you." It wasn't the love of a mate that spoke; not a sibling, either. It was the love that a mother might feel - maybe not quite so strong, but strong enough.
