Fragmented Hope

Elan hunkered down. Storms in the desert were violent but brief and he knew the torrential downpour would not last for too much longer, all he had to do was endure it. Silence rested between the pair of wolves as they waited and then soon the clouds began to disperse and the rain stopped. Elan stood, smiling as he shook out his coat, sending the water in flying in all directions. Well? at least he felt better and strong enough to finish his journey.

The mournful cry of coyotes could be heard and he frowned, nodding at Esperanza's words. "Aye? well? it's been a pleasure meeting you Esperanza. I best be on my way. I'm hope both sun and rain are far to you and that our paths may cross again."
