Aranya mused over Chill's words. Was a bear really so dangerous? The could outmaneuver a bear, even outrun one. You could not outrun hypothermia or hunger or disease. It was the silent, quiet killers that got you. What an entertaining thought, and one that sent a chill down her spine. Death was always right around the corner, after all. Chill's assertions that she would protect Aranya gave her less reassurance than she would have liked, but it wasn't something she really wanted to think about just yet. Instead she padded on, on careful watch for a place to rest her weary body. The remnants of an old rock slide appealed to her, as two boulders and a shelf of stone had fallen just so to create a roof and a wind break.

Her tail lifted with happiness as she went to investigate, quickly and then cautiously, as nooks and crannies in the mountains were rarely unoccupied. There were scents of distant occupation, long forgotten, but they did not concern her now. The floor inside was barren of grass, just as it was barren of sunlight or water. The nook was perhaps two body lengths wide, one and a tail deep. Plenty of room, and between the two of them, probably warm enough for comfort. Aranya looked over her shoulder to Chill and asked, "How does this look to you?" Aranya wasn't sure what she would do if Chill disliked the place. It might even be a good excuse to split. Would Aranya do that? Should she? She wasn't sure.

Chill was hunkered down into the snow, eagerly thinking about all the ways she could romantically kill her friend. A cliff would no longer do, maybe she should poison the other she wolf and rest next to her as she suffered and stroked her brow and comforted her through her dying moments. Oh how jealous Chill was, she wanted to be poisoned and have someone willing to snuggle her through her dying moments. This made Chill frown. How depressing, she would have to seduce some male later then.

Though when she was called she tilted head and stuck her nose inside and took a careful sniff. This would do just fine. Maybe she could go out and find some berries and herbs a little later. "Its beautiful! I love it!" She padded around eagerly before curling up into a tight ball and closing her eyes as she sighed.

Dreams where filled with death and destruction, but her eyes flickered opened as she sighed. "I guess we should get some rest, will be a long day tomorrow marking territory and recruiting." She would have more wolves to experiment on if this went well.

Aranya watched as Chill settled herself, and then slowly did the same. It felt good to lay down, to allow her worn muscles to relax. She wondered what the next day would hold briefly, but eventually let any thought at all start to ebb away. Chill spoke up, saying the same thing. "Hmmm," Aranya hummed sleepily. "Well then, good night in that case." And she hoped it would be a good night indeed. For the moment she was full to the brim and pleasantly exhausted. She was ready for a deep, dreamless sleep. Tomorrow would be a new day, and she would face whatever challenges came when the came to face her.

Chill sighed and lowered one of her eyes, the other stayed trained on Aranya before she allowed the other one fall close in heaviness. Her body seemed to sag into the ground as her tail curled heavily around her, her dreams where filled with nightmares and misery. It would be nothing to wake up and assault her companion. But that wouldn't do any good, her body shifted in her dreams as she felt the moon rise over head.

This day she would remember, her first travel companion, the first person she restrained herself around and not tried to outright kill. Today would be a good day indeed, and with that morrow, she would hunt down all of them. Yes she would agree in her own mind, tomorrow would be a beautiful day.

OCC: yep :D
