She felt his body curl tighter around her, but he seemed to have trouble placing his head. She giggled at him at him, "Just hold me." She felt her heart pump faster as she sank into his soft fur, his warmth and nice smell taking over. A content sigh escaped her lips. They would certainly have to do this again in the future.
Her shivers would slowly disappear, as she would have to try and groom herself a bit. She reluctantly pulled her muzzle away from his warm neck and let her tongue take to her fur. This way it would dry quicker and she could not be in fear of catching cold. Thankfully most of the sand had falle off her paws as they travelled through the forest. That wasn't fun to lick out of your fur.
She was constantly reminded of his closeness, her sensitive nose would occasionally bump his soft fur. Also releasing to her his pleasant aroma. She was completely satisfied about how her night ended up.

She molded perfectly into his embrace, her smaller frame fitting just right into the space between his limbs, as if she'd been made specifically to mold into his body. She was ever the observant little woman, noticing his dilemma of where to put his head. She giggled, telling him to just hold her, letting him know just where to exactly put his head. Crown was lowered, tucking itself beneath hers to rest gingerly atop her paws, not wanting to burden them with a heavy weight. He could feel the increase in tempo as her pulse drummed through their contacted skin. Why did her heartbeat suddenly pick up? Was there something he was unaware of that was frightening her?

Her content sigh put his worries to rest. She was in his embrace, warming up, safe. That was all that mattered at the moment. And then she would pull her muzzle from atop his neck and begin to groom herself. Cherokee watched from the corner of his eye as her tongue lashed across her beautiful ivory fur, cleaning away the moisture in an effort to speed up her re-warming. He would've offered to help, but that would've been crossing the line right there. She was an extremely beautiful young woman and Cherokee was beginning to think that maybe if he saw her again sometime that this quickly developed acquaintance could possibly turn into something more. Then again he could just be making something out of nothing. There was no way for him to know. His thoughts drifted away with each soft bump of her nose, his crown tucking itself closer to her, simply enjoying her presence and the feel of her body tucked against his own. He couldn't allow himself to get too carried away after all.

Song continued her grooming, but it was becoming less useful and more tiring. It was about time to just let the air finish its job. She was quite a bit more comfortable in her own skin now. Not that she was even ready to pull herself away from the black beast that surrounded her. She was sad that she wouldn't be able to get used to this. Goodbye was not looking very welcome. She would just have to enjoy his presence while she could. She would drink him in until she had to give him up.
She felt him constrict a bit more, it was almost as it you could hear an audible "click" as she placed her head on his neck. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she hunkered down into the mound of fur. Her face was adorned with a blissful smile. "You're so comfy, Cherokee..." She was cut off by a sudden yawn. Realizing she had been walking all day coupled with the fact she still hadn't eaten, it was no wonder she was tired. "I'm in danger of falling asleep on you, I think."
She wondered if he would be willing to stay with her that long at least. Trying to keep her mind off their departure she let her focus fall on his aroma. Breath. In. Out. She was probably enjoying herself way too much, but she let her tail give a slight wag to show it. She wouldn't complain if she had to sleep there.

It appeared that Song's grooming wasn't really getting her anywhere. She didn't appear any drier than before she'd started the grooming. And so she would stop, perhaps because she was seeing her efforts were futile or because the events of the past hour or so were beginning to weigh down on her. Whatever the case, Cherokee couldn't help the rumble of content as he felt her head return to its place atop his neck. They fit together. Like two pieces of a puzzle. He liked being around Song, liked her company and her overall personality. And in all honesty, he liked her. She was the first wolf, since coming to Alacritis, that he'd been able to have an actual interaction with. She hadn't left to attend to pack business like the girl Chrysanthe and the fiery queen. She'd actually stuck around and even played with him a bit. No one had taken the time to do that, which was maybe part of the reason why he liked her in the first place.

He could feel the corners of her lips curling up against his neck in what he assumed to be a smile, her voice whispering against his fur, sending invisible shivers down his spine. You're so comfy, Cherokee... A soft chuckle rumbled in his chest at her words, audits flicking backwards towards her crown as she warned that there was a danger of her falling asleep on him, a yawn having split her jaws before she'd continued on. I'm glad you're comfortable miss Song. And you needn't worry, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I quite like exactly where I am right now. He hoped that she wouldn't hear anything in words that would reveal his ideas of this acquaintance becoming something more. He didn't want to give her the wrong idea when they'd barely met.

As the pair laid together, bodies pressed close together, an idea came to Cherokee. He'd stumbled across her today by accident. What if their next interaction was...planned? Miss Song, I know we've just met and all, but I was wondering... he trailed off for a moment, plume flickering uneasily. What if she didn't want to take him up on his offer? He wouldn't know until he tried. ...If you would like to...go on a date tomorrow? We could go explore some more together or I could invite you to breakfast. It's completely up to you though. I also understand if you have other things to do or you simply don't want to. It was rather hard admitting that part of him felt like she was going to reject him, but he might as well put it out there that even if she did it was fine. She had no obligation to be around him anymore if she didn't want to. The obsidian brute adjusted his head atop the dove's paws, pressing his neck just a little more into her chest as he waited for her response, his heartbeat painfully loud to his own ears.

Ivory ears relaxed against her head as he spoke, her eyes slipping closed as she felt the sleepy take hold. The vibration of his voice through her body soothed her achy muscles. She was relieved at the sound of his sweet words. Her thoughts were echoed in them perfectly. Song could hardly believe they'd just met. But there had been worse occasions. She was glad that she had decided to take a walk down the beach. She was also quite happy she'd hit that wave.
The speed at which her tail wagged slowed as her state of wakefulness fell. She was not completely aware when her counterpart spoke again, but she could comprehend him. He seemed almost unsure of himself as the words left his mouth. She kept silent ad let him continue with his speech. The most wonderful words met her patience. A date?! Her tail involuntarily started wagging faster as her eyes opened once again. She moved her head to try and get a glimpse of his pretty eyes. She tried to hide her excitement as best she could. This would be her first date after all, "Cherokee, I wouldn't miss it for the world." In her sleep-drunk state she didn't think before she leapt and a quick kiss was places on his cheek.
Smiling She placed her head back on his neck, a happy sigh fell from her lips, "Good night." Her tail wagged happily a couple of times before it slowed completely. Her breathing evened and she drifted into a dream.

The events of the past hour or so were beginning to way down on Song, he could feel it in her body as it began to relax against hers, her breathing becoming more steady in even, the slackness in her muscles giving away as much. Cherokee himself was beginning to feel the first pulls of exhaustion, his muscles suddenly feeling like dead weights. Had he really done that much to merit exhaustion? He supposed he had. Not that he minded in anyway. If he got to spend time with Song, then he would do everything and anything with her, even if it left him dead tired at the end of the day.

The thumping of her tail against the den floor slowed as her state of awareness slowly shortened. Seems like their play session and her meeting with the water had really taken it out of her. Just when he thought she'd finally succumbed to her exhaustion, her tail begin to beat rapidly again and he could feel her shift on top of him. His visage came into from the corner of his eye and he lifted his massive head, ivory jade and steel gems locking into her own dual-toned gems. A half smile curled his lips at her response. She said yes. They were going to spend the day tomorrow. Had he not been tired he would've howled his excitement. But since he couldn't, he settled for his own wagging of his tail, fa?ade demonstrating nothing but excitement.

Now he had something to look forward to the next morning. But before he give her any kind of response he felt a brush against his cheek. He turned to look at Song, but she had already returned to her spot ontop of his neck. He lied his head down on her paws again, snuggling even closer to her. She'd kissed. She had just kissed him. Cherokee's heart leapt into his throat. Was it possible that she too was feeling something? And then came her voice, bidding her good night. Sweet dreams miss Song. He rumbled quietly, allowing his eyes to fall closed as his exhaustion overtook him, dragging him into the land of dreams.
