Aislyn

Why was it she could never be on time to events? The ivory temptress surged forward, eyes bouncing from left to right, ears perked forward to catch every voice she was starting to hear. The troublesome prince was arriving, and she was running late! Not that it was her daughters fault, but she had been busy getting her ready for the event. She had never seen a wedding before, and honestly neither had Aislyn. She hoped some day it would be her and Friction before all of Valhalla, but for now it was Epiphron and some foreign prince. She hoped the princess was making the right choice, and that her decision to take her sisters place would bring her happiness. Liberty bounced from side to side as she swayed, but Aislyn didn't slow down. Finally she got to the crowd, and was astonished at how many wolves there were compared to Valhalla's usual numbers. There were many unfamiliar faces, but she kept her cool, setting Liberty down and placing a warm smile on her face. She walked toward her alpha elegantly and slow enough for Liberty to keep up. There were two faces she did not recognize, one of them was an older man, and the other was a younger boy. He had the oddest pelt coloring and some stunning green eyes. His old man wasn't too bad himself either. "Hello, excuse my tardiness my queen and guests." She nodded her head respectfully at the trio. "I am Aislyn, beta of Valhalla, and this is my daughter, Liberty." She looked down at her daughter, her lips curling into a proud smile. She was so proud to call Liberty her daughter. She never thought she would be able to have children, so Liberty was a gift from the heavens. "I'm guessing you are the prince?" She nodded toward the russet colored boy, then turned her eyes to the multicolored man. "And you must be his father, and alpha of Seracia. Welcome, both of you." With that she looked out at the crowd, waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Natsu followed the others while his tail wagged happily behind him. The new member of Valhalla had bonded with Pip as much as he could before this day, and though it was sad to see her go he would make sure to do his best to make his name here in Valhalla. He was happy to see her get to be the one she loved though. As the other kingdom wolves approached a smile arose on the male's face. Maverick looked quiet handsome and young. Natsu was certain he would make a wonderful king as did his old alphess a wonderful queen. He chuckled happily.

Natsu wasn't sure how these ceremonies worked, he had heard about them plenty of times. He was curious as to how two wolves who were going to be mated would be bound by a wedding. A term that his mother had told him when he was young. The boy simply followed the others and kept silent, though it was obvious he was brimming with happiness.

She bounced from left to right as her mother surged on. Something was happening in the pack, but of course she had no idea what it was. She payed little attention to the politics, and focused more in training to take her mothers place. She hoped everything she was doing would make her beta. She just wanted to make her mother proud and help her pack as much as possible. As they came onto the scene her mother set her down and continued forward, but at a slower pace. She followed closely, never straying more than a foot away from her mothers legs. She enjoyed being the center of attention when her mother was dealing with important matters. It helped her learn even if she didn't understand anything they were talking about. They all were so big compared to her, and they were all so pretty. She couldn't help but stare at the white lady with the brown face. She was so pretty! And the older men, she couldn't stop glancing at them either. Especially the red man. He was so cute!

Words could not describe how happy she was to back home in Valhalla. Not only was she happy to be home, but happy to return to a peaceful place. The chaos seemed to have fled the lands just as quickly as it had come. Chrysanthe had taken over the pack and Epiphron was about to be wed to the Seracian prince.

Very much pregnant, Soleil found her way into the group of wolves who were waiting for the ceremony to begin. Soleil had never gotten such a ceremony, but few ever did. This bonding was significant in the fact that it would forever bind Valhalla and Seracia.

Blue eyes spotted Collision, or rather his rump. Her tail raised, wagging happily as she weaseled through the crowd murmuring greetings and apologies. Her husband was right in all the action, with his family, their family. Chrysanthe, Epiphron, other loyal Valhallans, and a mess of Seracians. The pale female nuzzled her mate lightly before looking to Epiphron and the male at her side. "Congratulations, dear! And I assume this is Mav-Maverick, right?" His name came out broken, for a minute losing it in her mind before remembering it again. He was a red brute and a white dappled hind end and astonishing green eyes.

He didn't really know where he was going, all he knew was Gerhardt was wedding his son to a princess in a far away land. It was in Valhalla, that pack that pretty woman he had met resided in. She was so gorgeous, and so interesting. He wondered if he would see her here? That was the main reason why he wanted to come, well, and to see the wedding. He didn't know anyone here though, besides that girl and his cousins. But he was confident he would make a few more friends today. When Gerhardt and Maverick parted he chose to stay behind, hoping he would see Chrysanthe somewhere in the crowd. Little did he know she was actually the alpha of Valhalla. Head spun around and around as he searched for her, but she was no where to be found. Now he felt lost, he couldn't find Gerhardt either. There were so many wolves here, and he only knew three of them out of possibly 100. He sighed, eyes closing for a moment. Why had he strayed away from Gerhardt? He opened them, head tilting up to look out before the crowd. There! Further out in the crowd he saw Gerhardt, huddled around a group of wolves consisting of Maverick and a few lady's. He wasted no time making his way up there, he was tired of being frantic and alone. "Gerhardt, I lost you for a moment." He offered his cousin a smile, and turned toward the crowd, and what he saw almost made his jaw drop. Chrysanthe. He wanted to say something, but he wouldn't, he couldn't. He didn't want to interrupt the wedding too much, after all this was Maverick's day, not his.

She had heard about the wedding taking place in the winter, but she never heard of an exact date, or hadn't been around to hear one, she had been lying low since her...talk....with Erani. But when a call rang out across her home, there was no doubting that today was the day. Her ivory pelt was a flawless as ever, requiring only a brief grooming. She took off towards the source of the call, arriving in minutes. Many others had already gather, some familiar, others foreign. Seracia no doubt. She fell into the mass, a gentle smile on her face, greeting those she knew and those she didn't. Dual toned eyes scanned the crowd, absorbing their faces and scent. She imaged that Valhalla would be seeing a lot of Seracia now. For now everyone was waiting for the wedding to commence, wherever it would take place, surely they would all have to travel there. The bride-to-be had yet to show, undoubtedly getting ready for her big day. She hung back quietly, observing those around, still wounded at her harsh meeting with Erani. Pushing away her thoughts, she wouldn't be the one to cast a gray cloud of this fine day. She settled in, plastering a pleasant look on her face, audits pushed forward attentively, plume swaying lightly at her feet.

OOC- Seracian boys need to talk to Rayne!!

Cormalin

Cormalin loped toward the calls. This must be he wedding party. And by the sounds of it, he was very late. The large black male slid to a halt and padded into the group, nodding greetings to the members of Valhalla. "So sorry, Chrysanthe, Cairo. Obsidian is slightly nervous about the Seracians. She's coming." He gave an apologetic smile to the two wolves before looking around.

He spotted Erani, her muzzle full of flowers, and padded to her, nuzzling her shoulder. ?Proud mother of the bride, you should be preparing her, shouldn?t you?? Eyes of blue and gold twinkled at his sister?s startled look.

He glanced around for Obsidian. The horse had been slightly unsure of so many wolves that didn?t know that she wasn?t food. She?d come, though. Her loyalty to the pack was unwavering. Cormalin sat back, next to his sister and his brother in law, waiting for the procession to start off.

The black mare paced to and fro, ears flat as she fought her prey instincts. The wolves of Valhalla were her family, but the Seracian wolves? What if they tried to hunt her? And started a war? Over a horse? She stamped a hoof, then turned. Pacing wasn?t going to solve anything. Taking of at a trot, she made her way through the Territory to the border, where the songs had come from.

Cormalin had done interesting things with her mane and tail, and had groomed her as well as a wolf without a curry comb or bush could. Her tail had been picked free of brambles and twigs, but he could do nothing about her tangled mane. The ropy locks wo0uld remain this way until the loose hairs that had made her mane particularly long caught on something and the mats were pulled free. It would shorted her mane when it happened, but it?d grow back. She had lost the show horse?s picky personality about her appearance. It wasn?t practical in a place without humans.

She took off at a gallop, breaking from the trot. She was late. She had made Cormalin late, too. So she weaved along the paths and trails at a sure speed, tail and mane flying, feathers flowing around her hooves, and snow popping away from her hooves in hoof print shaped clumps to land behind her.

She came into the group, sliding to a halt before she could accidentally plow into any wolves, and stood a moment, forcing her anxiety back. This was a good meeting. Apparently, a wedding was a union of love, and Epiphron would be happy with the Prince of Seracia, from what Erani had said. Eras flicking back and forth, she made her way through the crowd to Cormalin, carefully setting her hooves and watching her feet so as to avoid trodding on tails and toes. Reaching Cormalin, she stood beside him and Erani, blue eyes looking about at all the wolves.

Surreal

Surreal scampered after her mother, tongue lolling out of the side of her muzzle as she panted. She?d never realized her mother was so fast! Epiphron would be leaving for Seracia soon, with the Prince of Seracia, she?d been told. She?d seen the shock and hurt in Gabriel?s eyes, even when Mother had assured them all that Epiphron wasn?t leaving for good, that she?d be visiting a lot, and that they could visit when they were old enough.

Father didn?t seem keen on going, himself. So she paused and pressed her body against his hind legs to keep him going. ?Come on, Papa, please??She whined up at his tail, which draped over her face as she pushed. ?I?ve never been to a wedding before! She was impeccably spotless, her silver fur gleaming against the snow, and she was being careful not to get dirty, not that she usually minded getting dirty, but Mother had spent a whole hour grooming her and her siblings until they gleamed. Castiel was particularly handsome. His fur had lost that dirty yellow color, giving away to the snowy white, and she?d given him a good tease about being so pretty.

Arella and Gabriel were pretty too, and Lyric, well Lyric was always beautiful, with her unique swirls on her white fur. Breaking from Papa?s legs, Surreal bounded ahead. They were almost there! She could here the voices of other wolves chattering and murmuring to one another, and she charged into the group, dodging legs and paws as she searched for Mother. She found the great brown male, Cairo instead, bumping into his legs. Oh, there was her mother. And there was Chrysi. She scampered over to Chrysanthe, spotted the Seracians, and halted, just behind Chrysanthe?s legs, peeking out a them. There were so many. She gave a shy wag of her tail, then dashed away to find Castiel. She stuck to him like a burr. Whatever a burr was.

Azalea's ears folded back on her head, heart pounding in her chest. She raced through the forests and across the open pastures. Every fear and every worry focused on one thing: she could be missing Epiphon's wedding.

She could smell the Seracians, their unique pack scent not good nor bad just different. They had already arrived and without being near it was hard to way if the ceremony had begun. Finally she met the progression, at least the tail end. They hadn't gone far yet, still milling about mostly. It appeared that introductions were in order and perhaps that she was just on time.

Regardless of being on time or not, she was panting. Eyes searching the crowd to find Epiphron who was surely at the heart of the action. Her eyes first found Soleil and Collision. They were the most familiar wolves she knew. Of course, her eyes were bulging as she did a double take. Her mother was pregnant. Very. Surely the gal look deranged, standing stark still, eyes bugged out and looking around with her mouth gaping open as she mentally figured just how long her parents had been long.

Clearly they have been gone long enough for her mother, the one who birthed her, to become very pregnant without her even knowing it.

When she finally snapped back to the event at hand she hustled over to Epiphron who was standing among a throng of wolves that she both knew and didn't know. She smiled widely, glancing back in the direction of her mother for a second. "Epiphron!"

Azalea pushed through the wolves to embrace her aunt, eyes looking over the husband-to-be. "Congratulations!!" She drew back from the wolf, giving her space. She looked around, doe-eyed at all the wolves surrounding her. "Excuse me," she called innocently, prodding back out of the group.

The Ooze Participant
06-21-2013, 08:31 PM (This post was last modified: 06-21-2013, 08:34 PM by Epiphron.)

Late to her own wedding. Of course! Always Epiphron Adravendi had been so prompt, so quick to respond to beckons and pleas, even when it was not needed. But on this particular day, likely one of the most important days in her life thus far, she felt as though she was allowed to be as late as she damn well pleased.

But no, she was not simply late for the sake of being late. The woman was known for being composed and regal, in many ways a spitting image of Cairo in that regard. Rarely did she falter, and when she demonstrated any faults of character, these occasions were reserved for those closest to her. Her father, Erani -- who was as good as her mother, though she did not call her that openly -- and her siblings. But on this winter day, she felt inexplicably anxious and unsure. Today would be the first day in her life that all eyes would quite literally be placed upon her. The center of attention, standing alongside Maverick.

Nothing could quell the surging of her stomach as she lingered in her den that would soon be abandoned. Who might take her place there? Perhaps one of Erani's children would, once they grew old enough to live on their own. She could only hope. A sweeping last glance was given to the inside of her sleeping quarters before the nerve-ridden girl slipped from the darkness. Immediately her eyes sought her forepaws, making sure they were free from dirt and debris. Not that anyone would notice such a thing, or point it out -- but on this day, she wanted both Valhallans and Seracians to not only see how strong their alliance would inevitably be, but how perfectly flawless the union was. Everything had fit nicely into place, and though she was anxious, she was nothing less than happy.

Gerhardt's call had been heard, and had long since grown silent. Though she was a fair decent away from the gathering, her perked ears caught the excited greetings and barks as the wolves began to gather. Perhaps she ought to join them immediately, she wondered -- but no. Let them wait a bit. She knew she could use a few moments to herself. Pacing, silently hoping the ceremony would go as planned. In all honestly, it didn't take her long to grow calm and certain that things would be okay.

She wasn't sure how long she waited, but eventually she began to pad rather quickly toward the large gathering of wolves. As they entered her vision, she was thrilled to see how perfectly the wolves gathered -- there was no line drawn between the Valhallans and the Seracians. Though they lingered among those they knew and cared for best, it would be nearly impossible to tell any of the creatures apart by sight alone.

The second thing she noticed, unsurprisingly, was Maverick. Before she found herself without earshot of the group, her gaze searched desperately for her russet lover, and how easily she found him. His coat was stunning, a brilliant contrast to the white snow and multitude of differently-colored wolves around him. Immediately she fell victim to a smile that could not be contained or lessened; Epiphron's joy was obvious, and she found no reason to hide it.

She wasn't quite sure how these things worked. As badly as she longed to embrace Maverick, despite the watchful eyes of the two allying packs, she figured it was more appropriate to instead make her way to her father's side, near to Erani and Chrysanthe both. The smile never ceased as she lowered her head deeply, as though bowing to Gerhardt. Her gratitude for his open mind and welcoming heart was deeper than she could express.

Her eyes sought those of her loved ones. Of course, her father. She leaned into him ever so slightly, offering a gently nuzzle to the man's neck. Chrysanthe -- her beloved sister, and thus far her only blood sibling that had shown. She would not express her disappointment in not seeing Syrinx, nor in Eos' failure to show, for the girl had little way of disappointing her further. Even Preston was not present, and she hadn't expected Neo to show. Even Collision stood, his first appearance in some time. Even to him she showed her gratitude, leaning over to nose the brute likely on his cheek. Soleil stood next to him, clearly pregnant with a litter of children that she hadn't heard anything about yet.

Then there was Erani, and her children. The healer held a bundle of herbs, which smelled wonderful even from being a few feet away. A few children lingered as well, urged on by their parents, as unsure as Epiphron was as to what to expect at the ceremony. Thane had arrived, as well as his faithful bird. Aislyn lingered with her daughter, as did Epiphron's newest friend, Natsu. When she turned to see him, she offered him a smile, glad he had joined them. Rayne had materialized as well... her eyes found Cormalin, then the strange horse Obsidian, and finally... her niece, who seemed a bit distraught, as though she'd just rushed in. "Don't worry; if anyone is late, it most certainly is not you," she grinned in the yearling's direction, knowing she herself had been the last to arrive, lest others trickled in soon.

And before her stood a wide array of creatures, most of whom she had never met. Her eyes found Maverick's, briefly staring into that emerald stare that she had become so enamored with. "Welcome to Valhalla," she greeted the wolves of Seracia warmly, though her gaze lingered mostly on Maverick.

And welcome to the rest of our lives.

Sarak

Sarak streaked through Valhalla, paws silent, long legs carrying him toward the wedding as fast as they could. It didn?t take him long. He broke into the crowd, and faltered. There were so many wolves. He looked around, feeling a bit out of place, then spotted Azalea. He also spotted her father in among the crowds. He looked around, feeling overwhelmed. The horse was there, as well as Erani, Cormalin, and a few of Erani?s pups. Where was the male? Gabriel.

Perhaps he was lost in the crowd. He sank to his haunches and continued looking around at all the different wolves. There was a bright red male, with strange markings over his haunches, and green eyes brighter than his own moss green gaze. Chrysanthe was there as well, and Cairo, and so many more that he couldn?t keep his mind on so many. And then Epiphron arrived. She looked radiant, though he caught a hint of nervousness in her eyes. Was she a little overwhelmed as well?

She said something to Azalea and then spoke to Seracia, welcoming them to the territory.

ooc: short and crappy, and im sorry, i am.

Cairo relents to silence and he watched the proceedings with fervor. Eyes fall on the man that is dictated to be his daughter's suitor and a nod is given to the man, "You may have her, Maverick, and I tell you, as old as I am, even in death, dare you hurt her, I will strike you down," if not I, I have ever belief my son would carry out my will. Though the words fall quickly he turns his head towards Gerhardt and offers him a nod, "I would expect the son you've raised would offer no such disappointment, you've my faith. Tail is used as a counterweight and the man falls to his rear after moving to a more comfortable location, "Carry the proceedings how you wish,"
