I sip, you sip, we sip [Jup's bachelor orgy]

There was some event going on that had dragged in a decent crowd of people. Being among that many wolves made her skin crawl, and she took slow, calming breaths to steady herself. Her alpha was here, as well as other members if her family dotted amongst the crowd. It was okay, she was going to be okay. This was a chance to get out of her comfort zone, right?
She found the refreshment table, and took a cup for herself. Feeling oddly like a theft as she did so. What had she done to contribute to this affair?
She took a sip, and- oh God, was that Noir? She didn't even know her half brother was still around. He had vanished about the same time she was kidnapped, and it didn't even occur to her that he might be alive. Had she really considered his life or death with such little consequence? Even with everything going on inside her brain... it was wrong. Seeing him brought back the memory of the day she hidden things in his bedding. It was a life time ago now, and she couldn't recall what she had stuffed in there. He had found it and come looking for her. He had planned to hurt her, and Poem had stepped in the way. Another prime example of her sister jumping into the line of fire to save little Motif. Gods, she didnt deserve her sister.
The more she thought about it all, the more her stomach rolled. Or was that from the drink? What was in this stuff anyway? It left a funny taste in her mouth, and she felt like she was resting on a cloud... or a boat on the sea. Was the world rocking?

Hyperion was drawn to the gathering like a moth to flame. Word of mouth had got him started in the right direction but the sounds of revelry was what had kicked him into high gear. He knew fun when he heard it and the thought of a big group of people enjoying themselves without him in the thick of it was just too horrifying to entertain for long. No, that wrong needed to be righted asapity. They didn’t know what they were missing.
He slid onto the scene and felt compelled to check his pulse because if there was a heaven - not that he’d ever really considered the idea - it would have to be like this. There were containers of what he assumed were fun things strewn haphazardly around the beach. More were piled on a cart in the center and around it all, looking appetizing as hell, were dozens of beautiful partygoers.
Where to start, where to start... Ah, there, by herself and looking a bit like a baby seal in a sea of sharks, was a very tall, very lovely woman (Motif). Hyperion simply couldn’t resist. The scarlet land shark circled closer all the while eyeballing those closest to her to see if he was going to have to fend off any potential rivals. Seeing none, he sidled up to her.
Looking a bit lost himself, Hyperion glanced at Motif as if seeing her for the first time and commented, “It’s...a lot to take in, isn’t it?”

All she had wanted to do was slip off and sneak a few of the mushrooms her mother so often stored above the height of the younger wolves. She had seen others partake, but had never experienced them herself. Macha had told her they could offer great clarity if you found yourself emotionally stuck, and it wasn’t that Sedna was resentful of her position... she just... wanted to know where to step next. She wasn’t used to being so indecisive. She chewed and settled herself among the dunes, eyes drifting closed as she waited... and waited... Maybe she hadn’t eaten enough? (of course she had, youngsters were always so impatient), so she took another and heaved a disappointed sigh. Maybe these weren’t what she thought they were? (The were).
At first the distant ruckus had been enough to keep the Archer-Lyall clear, but as the night drew on, and the volume increased, others easily making their way down to the shores of the beach, her ears had tuned forward, forehead creasing with curiosity. The scent of liquor and sound of merriment finally got the better of her as she moved in closer to see what was going on. There were bodies everywhere, that seemed to sway in the patchy light like they were dancing. Her pupils dilated and she felt like she was floating as she wandered closer, stopping to take a drink here, a sip there, coughing as one particular concoction burned her throat. For someone used to sneaking fermented apples from the orchard in order to get drunk, these wolves really had their shit down to a fine art. Her pupils were dilated and she had a stupid grin plastered to her face, not noticing that she had started giggling, then suddenly stopped just as abruptly. Maybe she was being incredibly rude? Perhaps she wasn’t meant to be here? But then nobody seemed upset.
She silently shrugged, adding what was left of her fungi to the collection of piles that littered the sand. There it was... Maybe she shouldn’t have topped herself off after all...

“Oh!” she said, startled when a wolf came up beside her. He had the prettiest flaming star across her eyes. Like a little flower bud. His silver eyes seemed open and earnest, and he was just a smidge smaller than herself. With the drink making the world spin a little, her mouth began to form the most earnest smile she had made this year. “It is! You are!” she agreed. No, wait, had she said that outloud.
She placed a paw over her mouth, looking a little alarmed at what had bubbled out, she snickered softly behind the paw, surprised at the bubbly happy emotion riding in her stomach. “Oh, I’m sorry. That was rude of me. I’m Motif” she introduced herself. A blush tingling her cheeks. Why had she come here? So many wolves, so much noise, it was so much.
