It persists..

The sun now never rises above the horizon, casting the few remaining daylight hours into an eternal twilight. Auroras dance across the star-streaked sky. While no clouds mar the heavens, a thick fog coats the grounds of every land, only the tallest peaks escaping their grasp. Within the mists, it's possible to see wolves who passed, both related and unrelated. Though they are not tangible in any way, it is obvious they have a will of their own and may be up for conversation. Many strange, glowing creatures make their way into the lands, eating upon the many species of glowing plants which have now made Auster and Boreas their home. Crystal clusters grow to half the size of an average wolf and now off of tree trunks and other forms of decay. Wherever one looks past the mist, the world seems entrapped by the blue glow of these new flora and fauna. Those who have dared come in close contact with these strange objects, from the mushrooms to the crystals and the fireflies and the strange voices on the wind, begin to realize that their troubles are only just beginning...

Rumor has it that the Firefly Guy is continuing to appear, in greater frequency too... surely those are just rumors?

The following wolves have been infected with the Ooze, variation 1:
Fable, Sirius, Zeitgeist, Kitsune, Luta, Ophelia, Avacyn, Bog, Saracyn, Haiku, Balian, Gweynevere, Serenity, Mortis, Hikaru, Alarr, Syanna, Belladonna, Pestilence, Zagan, Hyacinth, Sparrow, Proserpina, Daphne, Cosette, Octave, Sakura, Deion

Symptoms include the following:

Fungi begins to grow, often out of the eyes, ears, and open wounds.
Some characters might feel the overwhelming urge to remove these fungi, but removal is excruciating as the fungi seemed to be tethered tightly to bone.
If removal is successful, the fungi quickly grow back, but in larger quantity.
Spores begin to multiply in the lungs, leading to coughing fits and shortness of breath.
Wherever the fungi grow, small amounts of brightly-colored fluid may ooze out (often purple, blue, or green).

The following wolves have been infected with the Ooze, variation 2:

Symptoms include the following:

Small crystals begin to grow, often out of the eyes, ears, and open wounds.

If removal is successful, the crystals quickly grow back, but even larger.
Wherever the crystals grow, small amounts of brightly-colored fluid may ooze out (often purple, blue, or green).

Growing paranoia and notable fear of the dark.
