Her nostrils flared as she turned to what she supposed was the west, back towards the bamboo. She could weight bare on her front leg now, though the wound still dripped ooze occasionally, that glowed too, but now the light was fading. Well, at least she could sorta see where she had been?
A distant cracking of branches caught her attention, and she chuffed as best a greeting as she could manage. Her throat was quite dry at the moment. Hopefully it was one of her brothers.
Morg’s trail turned as the light began to fade, shooting in a different direction than he expected. Had she missed her intended target or had she simply caught on to his presence? He could just see her in the shadow of a large oak, just make out the faint glow to her fur, but his silver eyes were too focused on her form, and his still-growing paws crunched inelegantly over a pile of branches. Fuck. Shit.
His sister turned and chuffed her greeting, to which he had no choice but to offer up one of his own. “Morganna.” He said, tipping his head in greeting. “Nice place you’ve got here.”

The girl wouldn't admit the way her heart had thundered while she waited to see if there would be a response to her chuff. When it was her brother's voice and not the growling of a cat, or the roaring of a bear, she let go of a breath she hadn't realised she had been holding. Truth be told, she was far too tired to run away from a predator at the moment.
Her tail waved when Vili said he liked her place, she allowed herself a giggle. "Mmm, maybe one day." She wasn't committed to the musty trees, not when there was so much else to be seen. "I think I got a bit lost." She admitted without fear to her brother. She closed the distance between them to bump her flank into his, more for reassurance than anything else. "I know I haven't left home yet, but it's all so big!"
"speech"Vili's brows rose playfully at her words. "Not sure if it's worth all the fuss." As nice as it was, they themselves were not in line for the throne, and there'd likely be a number of wolves she'd have to go through to claim it. It would have to be really, really nice to even bother.
Her disclosure that she might have been a bit lost was.. worrying, considering he hadn't been paying much attention to their pawsteps or how they'd twisted and turned through the trees. If she was lost, then they might be well and truly fucked. No need to tell her that, though. Not yet, at least.
Vili bumped his nose affectionately to her shoulder as she pressed into him. "But not so big that we can't find our way home." A lie, probably.

Not so big that we can't find our way home. The hesitation in her brother's voice was lost on the girl as she gave a dauntless smile and squared her shoulders. The creaking of the ancient tree branches overhead was no more disconcerting than the rubbing, clacking and groaning of the bamboo right outside their door.
The Archer turned her nose to the air, and then back down to the ground. The familiar scent of herself, her brother, and even her big sister Fuji and her cat Kenta weaved and crisscrossed through the underbrush. She found herself pointing somewhere to the south-west. "Let's head this way first. Maybe we'll find something more exciting than dusty mushrooms..." At least her own were slimy, that had to count for something, right?
