Though no formal fighting lessons had yet taken place and probably wouldn't for a while longer, Kaizen was already out there swinging whatever stick he could get his jaws on around. Swishing it back and forth, a very unthreatening growl rumbling in his throat as he struggled to maintain his balance. He was very ungainly, a bit skinny in the way many kids went through a string bean phase. His Dad was all muscle and Kaizen certainly was not, not yet at least. Maybe in time, maybe not.

He spun, his long bamboo stick thunked right into a nearby stalk and the force of impact made his teeth ache, enough that he dropped his makeshift weapon in alarm, tail flicking high in a show of alarm and offence. It was totally his fault, he hadn't really been watching his surroundings enough to realise the stick was long enough to knock into his surroundings, but still!

Majima wasn't quite as lanky as Kaizen yet, give him a few more weeks of growing before he really hit his stride and became gangly. For now he certainly wasn't a small pup but he was already shorter than several of his siblings... Kaizen being one of them. He was lingered in the bamboo when he heard a strange swishing sound. Curious and certain there was still much more of the world he hadn't seen he sought out the source, his brother's form coming into view just as a thwack replaced the swishing and Majima watched his brother smack a stick directly into the bamboo. Pushing his way through the stalks Majima approached, head tilted slightly. "What are you doing?" He asked in the tongue his father and mother spoke. It was maybe a blunt question but his tone wasn't harsh, just curious.

Kaizen rubbed at his jaw with his left foot, grimacing a little as his brother wandered onto the scene. Wasn't it obvious what he was doing? Apparently not, or else his sibling wouldn't have asked, hm. He turned then, tail flicking in what was meant to be a cordial greeting, except that it wagged too much. Conveying too strongly that he was indeed pleased to see his brother, more pleased than he'd like to admit.

"Training." Which was rather self-explanatory, no? Swinging a big stick around was fun and all, but what else was there to do but start honing their skills if they wanted to get even remotely close to the strength of their Father? "Play with me." He announced, moving to pick up his stick again. Grabbing one end, he awkwardly held it up so Majima could grab the other side and commence the game of tug of war. His grip was solid, teeth gritted, surely his strength would prevail.

Though the finer points of being reserved were still maybe missing from Kaizen's greeting Majima would incline his head and allow the corners of his mouth to barely twitch upwards. He was fond of his brother either way. Still he mostly watched silently, as his brother explained what he'd been doing, and didn't immediately responded to Kaizen's attempt to get him to play.

A quick glance around told Majima they were unlikely to be interrupted for at least a few minutes and a little bit of that mask slipped. A true smile, even if a small one, breaking across his face and he eagerly trotted over to his brother to grip the other end of the stick in his jaws. But there was something more than playful there, as he dug in, spreading his toes to try and grip the earth as hard as he could and jerked his head as hard as he could to try and tear the stick from his brother's grip, something a little more... Hungry, seemed to come over him.

Kaizen grunted as Majima yanked at the stick with force, would have wrenched it from his grasp if Kaizen hadn't gritted his teeth so. Like an angry cat, he arched his spine, talons digging into the earth as he heaved, hunching with each pull. Not very dignified for sure but he wasn't all that concerned about lookign strong or proper, he just wanted to win, or at least learn something from this exchange. His silver eyes narrowed slightly as he watched his brother's expression, it wasn't hard to notice since the stick wasn't all together very long, their muzzles perhaps only a few inches apart. Was he having fun, was that why he was smiling?
