He barely got down off his barrel when the blur of blue and red and white was on him, paws reaching, teeth flashing. His own teeth flashed in an answering grin, the cattle dogs charging forward to try and give him a chance to find his feet, all low growling barks and fast nips. What was it with chicks always being out for his blood? He barely had a chance to shake the thought off. Meeting her grapple with one of his own, he quipped, "Don' even get a name b'fore yer try ter sweep me off my feet?" She was small, and as great as it would be to just sit on her, this was meant to be friendly, so he'd do his best to fight fair.

Maki was gonna do her best, the Raiders were...well, raiding was their thing so shock and horror when they lived up to their name! Still, she would fight like the rest of her family, because friendly or not, it'd be kinda lame to just let them win without trying. And make no mistake, in reality she was still a pretty bad fighter, but as far as she was concerned she was doing pretty okay, ish. None of her spats were quite as dramatic as she would have liked, missed the finesse and poise, weren't as epic as she'd like, but maybe one day.

Maybe.

Her eyes scanned the fights, it was sort of hard to track what was going on with such much commotion and movement. There was one guy who wasn't fighting yet, Maki thought she should at least try and whoop his butt. With a boof that was anything but agressive, Maki ran in, felt the wind brush against her coat, like she was running as fast as a flash of lightening. No way he'd be able to react in time, as if he couldn't see her coming, just materialised by his side, like a cool character in one of her older stories. But what now? Uh. She dipped her head down, when in doubt, use her nubs!

Kaija didn't have to wait for long before someone targeted her, a young male with a rather unique coat. She wouldn't underestimate him due to his age, knowing he could very well be a highly trained warrior for all she knew. It'd taken her a whole lot longer to get significant experience with actual fighting, since she'd been on her own so long, so she knew better than to really expect to be better than anyone she fought against.

It wasn't only the wolf who charged her, but his companions too, a leopard and owl who soared overhead. The bird she couldn't do a whole lot about so she ignored it, focusing on the two that were on the ground. He went for her head on and she met him with just as much force, leaning her weight into the attack as they collided. He was about her size, it seemed, and she had a feeling this would be a close fight if they just went at it with raw strength. His bite landed around her scruff, and she tried to maintain her balance, aiming to duck her head down and aim a bite at one of his forelimbs.

Kuroki wasn't that fussed, didn't know the Raiders personally, even though he was probably related to a large majority of them. Through Modesty, he thought? She was the only Kleiny wolf he reckoned would remain here, everyone else was in Ashen, Hemlock or Elyisum, as far as he knew. Could be wrong though. So naturally, he sought out Deluge, a sly smile tugging at his lips, old habits slipping back in despite the loss he'd gone through, grief was- it was rough man.

But anyway, he sought her out, moving in quick to try and nip at her left ear. Always a pest this one, refused to grow up.

Finally, an opponent came her way. It was a youngish male, much larger than she was. This had never phased Sid before and it wouldn't do so now. As the antlered boy came towards her, Siduri rose to her paws. Just like that, she settled into a very familiar battle stance.

From either side, her nasty little badgers came. Well, they weren't exactly little. They were pretty big and pretty mean. The badgers went for the wolf's legs, aiming to sink their teeth in just enough to hold him somewhat still. While they had him distracted, Siduri continued what he'd started, running at him head first. She leaped up, seeking to grasp one antler between her jaws with the hopes of pulling him to the ground with the help of her badger army.

Calico Jack charges confidently through the mountain pack’s land while his tail lashing behind him in annoyance that an opponent hasn’t picked him yet. Something in him hurts so deeply that he feels the desire, no the need, to make someone or something hurt as much he does. Suddenly a flash of color catches his attention and he spies two reindeer barreling toward him with their antlers lowered. Not too far away from them, he sees a pup slipping around his side and he smirks to himself, ready to take on the group.

Paws shift, angling him toward the antlered deer that move to intercept him, knowing that his own companions are ready to engage where he needs them. Jack meets the reindeer, cutlass angling in such a way as to try and tangle both sets of antlers and keep them from puncturing his skin. The tall, almost yearling pup appears, racing up from behind him as he deals with the angry deer, and, as she leaps up toward his back, a flurry of wings and bright flashes of color suddenly descends from the sky as Jolly Roger moves to incept the pup.

Cawing loudly, the parrot seeks to use his talons to try and open small cuts on the girl’s face without actually doing too much harm to her. At the same time, Jack plants his paws and shifts his weight forwards in an attempt to shove the reindeer away from him so that he may face the wolf instead.

Sakana had been shorter, scrawnier the last time Erik had seen him. Both of them looking more like men than boys, they'd get to fight in much the same way. Shoulders crashing, the bastard prince takes Sakana's teeth with a little wince. A little pain to spur him on, grabbing at what he can. There's something exhilarating about a fight, something fucking brilliant. It's all blood and glory, right?

Winter chill and the heat of the fight, these are his favorite moments. Lashing out with his teeth, coppery taste of blood in his mouth. His own? Sakana's? It's hard to tell, but does he care? Not at all. Really, Erik is just having fun with it.

The girl isn't alone, her companions coming to life on either side. Oh those badgers are mean mean, yikes. Björn grunts, kicks out at the snappy little beasts. They seem to be everywhere... shit, he should get him some of those. The boy tossed his head wildly, feeling her jaws catch around an antler.

Snarling, frustrated, Björn feels the pressure building behind his eyes. Blood spilling forth, tossing his head indelicately. He's seeing red, quite literally, and allowing the frustration to take hold. Grumbling and growling, lashing out with his teeth and his antlers. Reckless swings, but ah, he's maybe more flustered than he'd like to admit. Being this close to a pretty girl and in the middle of a raid, it's a lot to process.

Pulling her head back, leaning into his embrace, Delphi looks up at Kenway with a wicked grin. “Figured I’d get a taste first before deciding if I wanted you,” she teases, feeling lighter than she had in weeks. Refocusing on their fight, Delphi tries to use the leverage of his grapple to wiggle farther up his chest so that her teeth might fight purchase in his scruff.

Scald was and wasn’t paying attention. More like eyes glazed over, acting like one of those guys who could totally start fighting at any moment even if he wasn’t looking. Except he’s not one of those guys. So Maki kind of totally did appear out of nowhere. The sound of her paws and the friendly boof were the only giveaways as Scald turns to look at his side.

Eyes go wide for a second, mouth opening in surprise as Maki dips her head to poke her horns at his shoulder. “Aye!” Scald exclaims, ears folding backward as the quills along his spine rise to ward her off from trying anymore funny business. Putting on the brakes, he reaches back to try and bite at her face so maybe she’d give him some space.

Her reindeer successfully meet the boy head on. Their antlers clacking loudly as they tangle with his sharp-edged cutlass. They dig in their hooves, pushing with all their might to keep him distracted and entangled. It would not last long as their attention draws to behind the boy where a flurry of wings and loud caws pierce the air. Lumine is mid-jump when the parrot appears from the sky, talons aimed directly for her face.

A cry of surprise and pain tremble from her as she twists, avoiding Jack and planting her paws firmly on the ground. Ducking her chin toward her chest to avoid anymore of the parrot’s talons to her face, she lashes out to ward it off.

“Lady, Lass, get this damn bird!” Lumine cries out, frustration lacing her features. The two reindeer listen obediently though and separate themselves from the cutlass, moving away from Jack to intercept Jolly Roger’s flurry of talons and feathers. Not wanting to appear defeated, Lumine quickly readjusts and slips between the reindeer to meet Jack head on. With blurry eyes and fury in her heart, she lunges at the boy to try and grapple with him.

Astraios’s initial attacks hit as he brought them into close combat and landed a bite on her scruff. As he dug his teeth in, he turned his head to the side and attempted to brush his cheek spikes against the side of her face, or whatever part of her he could reach without letting go of his grip on her scruff.

He felt her teeth land on one of his forelimbs, and attempted to kick it out to dislodge her teeth. Struggling to maintain his balance as he did so. He felt his leopard brush against his stomach as she moved under him in an attempt to surprise and dislodge her attack as well.

The boy flung her about as she hung from his antler but Sid refused to let go. With the help of her badgers and a lot of body flailing, Siduri was able to slam her opponent into the ground. Teeth rattled in her skull and she released the antler but hey, she got what she wanted! Squirming to keep him pressed down to the ground, Sid ended up with her chest on his shoulder, staring down into the side of his face. "Stay down," she growled low, pink lips pulling back to flash teeth for a moment. She meant business.

Both badgers kept their hold on the young brutes legs, also trying to keep him pinned. Her big boy badger went so far as to wrap his body around the boys tail, which was... rather comical. Sid looked down at the boy again. Were... they going to stay like this or was he going to try to shake her off?

Maki wasn't smart enough to dodge, oops. She let out an alarmed yelp when his teeth connected, and it wasn't even a mean bite, with lots of angry force behind it. Just a reflex on his end, a reaction he probably didn't put much if any thought into. As well as the aye he hollered her way. He'd caught her cheek, his teeth parting the charming floof and digging into the thin pale skin beneath. She struggled, only to realise it made it sting even more, so instead of trying to pull away she stumbled forward into him, not even trying to headbutt him or anything, just her weight flopping forward with all the grace of a bear that had tripped over a log.

Maybe he was missing out, not taking part in these things more often. Keeping half an eye on the fights around him, nothing seems to be getting out of hand (yet). The crash of teeth against his shoulder, the searing heat of torn skin draws his attention back to the wolf before him. Dropping his centre of gravity and offering a shove he hopes to knock his opponent off balance, to topple him to the ground and make him submit, if only this once. There's a fearless smile on his face, despite knowing how easily it could backfire. All he had to do was misplace a paw and he'd be on the ground instead.

"Aye now, I ain't that kinda Klein. He tsked, not snappish or on the defensive, but with the same vibe of not wanting a kid to slap a venomous snake, or to lick a poisonous frog. Kuroki wasn't heavy-handed with anything, least of all banter, he just figured she was tryna get under his skin. Kleins were known to be a bunch of shit heads after all.

She tackled him to the ground, all things considered he was leggy and pretty light, not super dense or muscular, so he went down easy-ish. He oofed one of his hind legs flicking out to give her a kick in the tummy. Maybe bruising at worst, tucked his toes a little so he wouldn't scratch her with his talons.

Her opponent's response had an eyebrow arching, her mother didn't speak much of her family, so she would have to track this one down once it was over and see what she could ferret out. They were well matched, he probably even had a bit of weight on her, so it was a bit of a surprise when he folded so easily, legs curling and aimed up into her stomach. He had some nasty talons he was nice enough to angle away (she doubted Dread would ever forgive her if getting involved in a raid ended up with the kids he'd worked so hard to put there cut out of her belly). The sudden realisation had her doing her best to pivot, forcing the worst of the strike into her lower ribs, with all her attention focused on letting his foot meet something more boney, she wasn't really focused on where her forepaws landed.
