put your emptiness to melody
Sparrow!
The lesson was over, and now it was time for packing up the slightly dampened furs and hides. Practiced digits swept over the fur to his left, clearing the worst of the fur and crumbs away from the messy little ones and their snacks. He could take a switch to them when he returned to the shrine, hang them from some of the lower branches of the saplings and beat the rest of the debris from them before they went back into the outbuilding for storage. As he swept the most egregious of the crumbs and dirt from each fur and hide, he rolled them up and set them against one of the standing stones. At least he didn't have to worry about any of the food being left over. Perhaps next time he would bring some more, some of his nieces and nephews were very obviously going to grow into enormous, ferocious wolves (and wolfdogs) who would need plenty of food to keep growing.
Humming a gentle tune to himself as he worked, accompanied by the tinkling of his body chains, the priest was solidly in his own little world. Perhaps a bit presumptuously, he assumed there would be no issues or concerns for his safety within the boundaries of his sister's pack. Whether that was actually true or not was another question entirely, but he wasn't bothered by it at the moment. The final fur was rolled up and deposited on the pile, leaving him with the task of bundling them together with the well-worn leather straps that he'd set aside before the lesson. He lifted his gaze from the task, cast it to and fro as he caught the sounds of movement nearby. A grouse took flight in that same moment, a few metres away. Ah, no trouble then.
He returned to his task, looping the strap around one end of the small pile of furs with a mixture of teeth and claws, until he was able to slip the end through a buckle and secure it in place. Then the other side, and he was done. With his tidying complete, the violet tinted male settled down onto his belly amidst the trampled heather and stretched out those long, long legs for a brief rest. He wasn't due to return to the shrine until dusk, anyways. There was plenty of time to linger here and explore the area.

Still, Sparrow wanted to know what flavor of religion afflicted wolves were becoming what used to be her pirates. Sparrow meandered around, poking rocks here, eating an ant there, just prodding around while the man lingered. Eventually, she cast him a somewhat disinterested look, "So... what was all that about?"
Sparrow has a female Harlequin Macaw named Pongolo and a male Capuchin monkey named Friar, and a hairless mushroom tuxedo cat named Beef Sandwich. She also has cat claws... and some weird leg spike things.
