It was a probably a miracle that Flurry hadn't tripped and fallen down the ravine. It would have probably been somewhat poetic: Dazed out of her mind, having left behind her family, the only world she'd ever known and the only future she'd ever seen for herself because it was about the only thing she could do for herself now... And then find an incline and just biff it, leave her body cold on the shores of the river... That sounded like her luck....

But Flurry was alive, much to her great consternation. Had even managed to get herself to the banks of the river with only a little bit of tripping over her own paws... Which was probably a miracle considering the hangover she's just drowned out with more drink. She was down to the dregs of what she'd taken with her when she'd left... It was swill really, tasted like swamp water. But it did what it needed to do, which was largely numb her. To her situation, to the sorry state she'd put herself in, to the constant nagging anxiety that she'd abandoned everyone she'd ever cared about to their fates and was now truely and utterly alone...

Safe to say Flurry had decided to cope by not coping at all. If she'd been more sober she'd probably have found the irony in just how much she resembled her parents in this moment... Instead she was just barely keeping herself upright, swaying on her paws as she looked at water, watched it flow by her. Not a single thought or plan in her head. She barely even registered the cat as it gently brushed up against her legs, the thing had been sticking closer to her since she'd left... It was the only living creature in her life she had left... And it didn't even talk, at least not to her.
