not his usual agenda, Érebos managed to get from his family and pack. with so much happening with the things back at insomnia, the man needed space to assess his thoughts. therefor, a place of calm scenery was sought for, remembering his times at the obsidian beach. night out, yet still the sky remained slightly illuminated with glows of blue. the washing waves crashing and the sound of white noise pleasant amongst his ears. they'd swivel, listening as he sat alone. his bulky frame highlighted by the shimmering shores that sent flickers and flares all over him.
it was rare times like these that Érebos revisited his past. what he'd done, and who he was at the core. his gaze usually found to be critical, harsh and intense had now undone to be a softer look over the horizon. he wondered then, would it all be worth it in the end. he heaved a sigh, a pensive look washing over his handsome face.

A soft, sweet little tune filled the air as Scylla hummed. The dainty, cobalt and cream fae was picking her way along the edge of the water, the luminescent surf lapping at nimble digits. There was a hooked spear attacked to a loop that went around her neck and one leg. She was on the hunt for something special. Something fun.
As she meandered along the brilliantly glowing beach, Scylla noted the big brute settled nearby, the glow bouncing brightly off of the pale half of his face. She had just been about to give the man a greeting, when a soft splashing in the surf pulled her attention away. The darkness wasn't so dark with her advanced vision and Scylla spied her intended target.
Shifting, she lowered the spear from her back and took aim, padding slowly towards the waters edge. Another splash and two forms rose out of the water simultaneously. She took her shot, sending the spear rocketing into the luminescent water. There was a struggle, water flying this way and that. Scylla reeled the line in, pulling a small stingray onto the beach. Extracting a knife from the sheath at her wrist, the small woman sent it down through the sea creature once, ending its life.
Only when the ray was dead did she turn to cast her blue and grey gaze at the man. There was a small smile on her face as she gave him a salute with her knife. "Hello there."
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

as if from the shores itself, waltz a female wolf. her perfume high on the rifts as his inky nose stung with it's unfamiliarity. his head turned to view her, brown and blue eyes watching as she caught herself a stingray. she was skillful then and a part of a pack. and absolutely tiny compared to him-, yet when she spoke, her aura protruded a larger persona. she intrigued him, while his eyes casually skimmed across her complex coat and dual toned gaze.
Érebos listened as she spoke, his ears swiveling as he caught her simplistic greet. he had so many questions already. "Hello." he replied back, his teeth clicking slightly as he remained sitting and torso turned to her. he peered down, looming above her with ease as his muscular arms came to shift his weight for a moment. "Why do you hunt them?" his voice was smooth, deep and baritone with an accent. he subtly pointed out with his maw at the squirming animal.

The charcoal and bone brute was big, but Scylla wasn't phased by it. Nero was larger by far. Even if he was big, she wouldn't be bothered. If ever there was a woman confident in her abilities, it was Scylla Klein. There was no situation that she couldn't think or charm her way out of. No man or beast that she couldn't handle.
The brute questioned her, his voice a pleasing, accented baritone. The cobalt and cream fae waved a single dexterous digit at him and grinned, pristine white teeth flashing momentarily. "Very good question," she responded, then waved him in closer to look and see.
Using the curved serpentine blade, Scylla pointed to the barbs on the end of the rays long, spindly tail. "These sharp little beauties are full of venom." Without another word, the blade arced down, sliding the tail away from the rest of the sea creature. She then carefully wrapped the barbed tail in a thick piece of tanned skin and slid it into the pack at her side. "The first step in cultivating poisons is collecting your supplies." There was no shame in her voice as she admitted to having nefarious purposes for the tail.
"Scylla Klein, Sovereign of Obscura," she gave her name, delicate head dipping ever so slightly in greeting. "And who might you be?" Blunt, forward, charming. That was Scylla.

she was knowledgable in her field, whatever that was. and open at that-, perhaps she was a trader? how did even his leisure moments turn into an idea of determination and purpose? he learned then that stingrays were useful in regards to collecting poison. "And do you sell such potions that you make?" he had his reasons for asking, desiring to use them and eventually learn himself.
as she went on, he perfectly concealed the reaction he had to word 'klien'. so this was potentially a descendant from one of medusa's torturers then? yet, medusa had made peace with some of the family, after all harboring their offspring as if her own for years. so thus-, reacting in a way of abrupt aggression did not fit this case. and wouldn't, not until he spoke to medusa about her stand with the family as a whole. did the Kleins ever try to reestablish their power over medusa or did they leave her be? too much was unknown to conclude action against them. Érebos was never foolish. however, widow was not given the same benefit of the doubt. and so this particular instance was still a learning experience, one Érebos intended to milk for all it had.
scylla was an alpha as well. all the more why he should befriend her, to steal her away from other's who might've wanted her as an alliance. "Érebos Dunamis." he hid nothing, as the dunamis were too sheltered to have been heard of & too foreign; only living within boreas for nearly a year. this was his first interaction with the Kleins and their resemblance to the dunamis was uncanny. "Patriarch of my clan and member of insomnia.." his nose flared slightly. "temporarily." his aspirations were far larger than anyone could comprehend.

The man asked if she sold her poisons and Scylla gave a throaty little chortle. "I'd be a poor businesswoman if I didn't, eh?" The small fae rolled her head from one side to the other, blue and grey eyes on the larger wolfs face as she spoke. "Poisons, hallucinogens, sedatives... all manner of things." One dexterous paw raised out of the midnight sand and she waved it absently. "Healing items as well, but those aren't nearly as fun, don't you agree?"
Once her own name was given, the brute gave his in turn. He was part of Insomnia, a pack that Scylla had heard of before. His mannerisms as he shared this information brought one brow lifting in intrigue. "Temporarily, eh? Dreams of aspiration, Erebos?" The little fae purred out his name then gave a little stretch before settling down upon her belly in the obsidian sand. The woman's long, striped tail swished languidly back and forth. "Do you intend to form your own pack or pluck one from another as I have?"

she was like a mystery. why didn't she hide information like someone in power usually would? it was as if she knew Érebos for months. her casual nature was odd, but he couldn't say he didn't like it. "I'd like some sedatives from you, businesswoman." he gave a soft dimpled grin, adoring her playfully suave style. but he knew better than to be at total ease around a stranger. "It's always better to hurt someone." his white teeth peaked from his under his inky lips.
these two got along and it was easy to like her. charismatic, intelligent, beautiful. she was a poison in herself, he knew that by now. "Either or. I'll consume whatever stands in my way." his answer was vague but it got the message across with clarity and concision. a conquerer, scylla would leave today knowing she met one.
she let up on her own ways of power. a usurper then. "I have a feeling we'll get along just great." he descended to his belly as she did, less tense amongst her and laying within a close proximity. surely, this was to be a long, interesting night with scylla Klein.

Erebos claimed that he wished for some of her sedatives and Scylla grinned. "For that, you'll have to pay Obscura a visit. My apothecary there is filled to the brim with all manner of wonders." Too many different things to carry around in her little pack, though she always carried a little something just in case. Nimble digits sifted through her pack until she removed a small clay crock.
The brutes remark about it being better to hurt brought a genuine chortle from the cobalt woman. "It's definitely easier. Hurt and Heal. Pleasure and Pain. Two sides of the coin though." Scylla had no doubt that Erebos would take his pack when the time came. He'd take it by storm.
His admission that they would get along great brought another grin from the fae and she opened the crock. "Let's find out, shall we?" Dipping one little toe into the concoction, she removed it, allowing the honeyed mixture to drip away before she quickly inserted said toe into her mouth. Couldn't waste this sort of thing, you know. After removing all of it from her digit, Scylla scooted forward on her belly, one paw reaching out to take the big brutes cheek gently. Then, with the confidence that was so very much Scylla Klein, she leaned in and kissed him.
Scylla worked to slide her tongue into his maw, sharing the honeyed mixture with him as well as her own sweet flavor. She tasted his in return and, when she drew back, she released a little hmm of pleasure. After the drug was delivered, Scylla moved so that she lay beside the giant man, but not close enough to touch. She wanted to watch the churning blue water as the waves played upon the sand. "Enjoy the ride," the diminutive woman purred. She definitely would.

she invited him to obscura to obtain the drugs. fine. however, he was slightly guarded even if he didn't appear to be so. she was clearly cunning, sweet and casual. like a cat, and he hated cats. he proved through it, enduring past his internal judgments of her, creating a taste for her as he assessed who she was. why she was.. the way she was. he studied both her and her drugs. it was then he would come to know as the poison maker. useful in many ways, considering the power she wielded politically. she was necessary, relevant to befriend.
so when she suggested they try some of her mixtures, he nodded. what better way to know how his victims would feel than to try it? in moderation of course, Érebos would accept. but not right away, for as he saw her gathering it with a toe, his chin tucked while he asked, "what is this?" his eyes harsh and face serious. he knew nothing about how these drugs were best to be administered-, understanding only what scylla let on. it appeared this honey-like mixture needed to given mouth to mouth for whatever reason. perhaps it could not stand to be dried by the breezes of salty air.
her lips then suddenly met his own, not expecting her tongue to relish inside his mouth. tasting her and the sweet honey, Érebos would pull back after he collected it. an odd woman this wolf was but he had no qualms about it. so as long as she did not assert herself over him, a dunamis male. with a single gulp then, he swallowed the mixture. remembering it's taste and her perfume. he said after, "When will the effects take place? And for how long will we be under its influence?" he was a sponge for her knowledge. greedy to know more.
