Basilisk’s time had been tight recently, but he still tried to fulfil his promise to the tiny, tailless slave. Returning to the den for reading lessons and a moment of cooking. His attention wasn’t always on the job, but Bas did not break his promises easily. He returned that evening a tad late, shaking moisture from his fur as he trotted into Tee’s cooking den to find the small healer waiting for him.

He nodded his head towards her in acknowledgment, and flipped open another book. The books he chose were getting steadily more difficult, and less aimed at children. “This recipe is for a slow cook soup.” he explained to her, but he didn’t immediately start. Lately, his thoughts had been all over the show. So many threads to keep together. “Are you happy, Teegra?”
