It seemed that the peculiar skies were beginning to fade. Hints of pink and blue would poke out through skies of grey as Raumr prowled across the prairie with Taiga. Happy rumbles vibrated from his chest as he occasionally brushed against her shoulder or pressed his nose to her cheek. Taiga was good for him and he hoped that he was good for her. They would build something good and that started with getting some food for the rest.

Spread out before them was a massive bison herd. The lumbering beasts grazed, minding their own business. Approaching slowly, Raumr began to sink lower and lower to the ground. He would look over to Taiga, trying to read her mind, guess which one she wanted for the taking. would they go for a younger one that was defenseless or an older one they could take down easily? Taking up a position on the outskirts of the herd, he settled in to watch until she picked the best one.

Raumr Regulus, the Third

Raumr had become a constant in her life. Taiga was very thankful for that. Until the giant liger showed up in her path, she hadn't realized quite how lonely she'd been. Yes, she knew that she'd felt lonely, but she hadn't acknowledged how deeply her solitary life had sunk into her bones. So, as the days passed, the pair grew quite close. Raumr was ambitious too, and that gave him another layer of respect from the striped lioness. Already he had grown, acquiring lands for them to inhabit and call their own. There wasn't much that she wouldn't do for him.

The pair of felines made their way towards a herd of bison, both sinking down into the long grass for cover. A pride always had to eat and they were more than capable of providing. She'd been felling her own prey for so long now...

Raspberry eyes looked out over the herd. There were many options, but the best seemed to be a younger bull on the outskirts. He was big, but not quite as large as the more dominant bulls. Taiga pressed into the side of her companion and directed his attention towards her intended target. If he agreed, he could push the vision towards her as she waited on the other side.

"Speech"

It would not take long for Taiga to make her decision. The gentle bump of her shoulder guiding his attention to the young bull off toward the edge of the herd. Ah, nothing too weak or diseased, but also nothing they couldn't handle. A smile warms his features as he reaches over to press his nose into her neck, affectionately nuzzling her before continuing their hunt.

Slowly creeping through the tall grasses, Raumr slinks toward their target. Step after step, pausing sometimes when the bison looked their way, they eventually would come close enough. Hidden by their surroundings that just barely went past their massive shoulders, Raumr waits. His paws knead the dirt beneath him as he glances over at Taiga. As soon as she was in place and ready, he would pounce.

Minutes pass, the bison continue to graze. The young bull bugles, attempting to catch the attention of the females. Little did it know it had their attention as well. And as soon as Taiga gave him the signal, he was off. Bursting from the grass with a giant leap, he bounds over to the young bull who grunts in surprise, twirling around to face them defensively with horns lowered.
