It was easy to be quiet with Novella, just as it had been easy to find peace and quiet with his mother. Kynareth had encouraged it, he didn't always need to talk to convey his feelings. He and the older woman only really talked during his lessons, which had been frequent he supposed. Here now though, with the serene atmosphere and Novella's gent;e presence he could almost feel Kynareth by his side.
Easily would the girl fin a simple answer to his question, simple lyrics explaining her thought process for him. "I couldn't sleep." It was an easy enough explanation. He didn't often have a set sleeping schedule, the night was one of his most favorite times of the day. "I went for a little walk around the pack lands but hit the borders and just sort of kept on going. And here I am now." She almost sounded like he did but a few days ago. After he'd buried his mother... he'd just kept walking. He wasn't even sure that he could even find her grave again. "I suppose I should thank your feet then, for bringing you to me." His words were soft, and very much appreciative as fire and ice gaze found her own blue and gold.

Novella didn't necessarily need peace and quiet to be relaxed though moments of it were of course sometimes welcomed. Now for instance, the tranquillity was pleasant and despite barely knowing Frith she still found herself comfortable here with him now. Perhaps it was the Shrine, the calm of the area spreading to those wandering within she couldn't be too sure but she wouldn't question it.
His words of thanks could have been taken rather lightly as a joke of sorts, though the way in which he said them certainly were rather touching and as another soft smile graced her lips she found herself unable to break the eye contact. Silence stretched on in the mean time, the peace continuing and a strange feeling that Novella couldn't quite place that wasn't uncomfortable.
"Frith..." She spoke his name softly, a idea suddenly entering her mind and ready to be spoken before she even really gave it much thought. "Do you want to come back to Ludicael with me? If you don't have anywhere else to go of course" She wouldn't automatically assume that was what he wanted but she didn't really want him to be on his own.
He wondered if every wolf was as easy to get along with as this gentle woman, now that he thought about it though Novella reminded him a bit like Kynareth. Her gaze was soft as she accepted his lyrics with a gentle smile. She would keep his gaze, seeming to realize the weight of his thanks. "Frith..." sweet lyrics would filter over the serene clearing, "Do you want to come back to Ludicael with me? If you don't have anywhere else to go of course" His facial features would become startled for a moment, too much emotion would well up within him. Had she just asked him into her pack? His features would light up again, hopeful about the future, "I think that I'd really like that." His words still a whisper.

There would be a pause before Frith would answer her and for a moment Novella couldn't help but wonder if asking outright like that had been the right thing to do. His expression would change to one of surprise neither would look away and for Novella, suddenly finding herself somewhat impatient, it would seem to take a long time before she would get an actual answer.
First a more joyful expression would cross his features and instantly she would find herself relaxing once more even if he hadn't actually given her an answer yet. Surely he wasn't about to bring her bad news now and sure enough the words that followed, though still quiet would be an acceptance of her offer. Of course her parents would have the final say but for now a smile would grace her lips once more. She liked it too, a chance to help her new-found friend, hopefully he would like it in Ludicael.
"I should probably get back before they all think I've decided to vanish as well." Mentioning her pack once more had brought the thought to her mind, her family had gone through enough stress as of late, they didn't need to worry that she had left as well. "Are you ok with starting to head back soon?"
She was incredibly considerate, more so than he ever could have hoped for. She was soft spoken, and eager to help him. She was an angel, and he didn't think there would be anything that could convince him that fact wasn't true. She was offering him an opportunity to live in a pack, something that even his mother could have never offered him. "I should probably get back before they all think I've decided to vanish as well." He wondered how long she'd been gone, did her family sleep through the night or was there constantly someone checking on everyone? He was so curious, but he didn't want to look dumb with questions. "Are you ok with starting to head back soon?" he would smile softly, their eyes still connecting, "Whenever you're ready," he would try and conceal his enthusiasm as he watched her.

A part of Novella was a little reluctant to leave still if she was entirely honest. It was a silly feeling really and she knew it, Frith would be coming with her so it was not like they were about to part ways forever and even if they were going to it really ought not to matter too much to either of them. She wouldn't question the thoughts though, instead blue and gold eyes remaining fixed on Frith for a while longer as he spoke once more, signalling he was ready to leave when she was. "OK, it's this way." She responded gesturing in the direction with her head before moving herself to lead the way.
