Hear ye, hear ye!

With the veil between the world of the living and the dead so very thin, we have decided it is time to resurrect two pack slots that have been waiting to be brought back to life!

The rules are simple: You must not already have a primary alpha, your would-be alpha character must be a year old, be a wolf or a canine over 23" tall, and must have a mere fifty posts to qualify. No activity requirement, no follower requirement. Just fifty posts! Simple! Just one catch:

You must fill out and post in this thread a nomination form to include all of your potential pack's information and some form of explanation as to why your pack should be chosen. You have two weeks from today to get your nomination in - October 29th at 11:59 PM we will close all nominations! No nomination may be edited after that point or will be disqualified. Any nomination not finished at that point will also be disqualified. All the nominations will be put into a poll, and we will hold a site-wide vote for everyone's favorite pack idea!

There will be two prizes given out. The second highest scoring person will receive their pack, with their choice of land! So if the second highest gets their pack, what does the first highest pack get? They get their pack too! But they get not one, but TWO lands of their choice! That's right, folks, we're giving out two separate packs here, so step right up and apply now!

A note: If your desired alpha character does not currently meet the requirements you may still post your pack here. As long as they meet the requirements before we close the contest they will be included in the poll. Otherwise, they will be disqualified from the voting round.

Alpha: Branch Wreckage
Proposed name: Kesali
Proposed color: #6a93ae
Proposed lands: Weeping Woods & Tall Grass Plains

Why You Should Vote for Me: Kesali will be a true neutral pack that strives to create relationships with other packs by trading what is unique in their area and treasures they find with things unique in other packs territories. Their business will be with good, Neutral, and dark aligned packs. Kesali will not partake in raids, sieges, wars, or anything of the sort. They will not pick sides and in times of need will provide for any pack. The pack is vary dependent on their healers, but the pack also strives to provide ranks for any skill or interest (including crafting, hunting treasure, hunting, fighting, ect). They also want to freely extend trading to any loners who are in need of things. There is some unique qualities I intend to include with the pack. One being the higher ranking wolves will wear jewelry, or something to tie them to the pack and their standing rank. Since this is just starting out this gives some freedom from ideas from other members as far as what they think should be used. It could be as complex as a intricate necklace, or as simple as a bandana or cloth band. Another thing is that the pack has their own official in pack color which is their ooc color. Jewelry and cloth will be in this color helping others recognize who Kesali wolves are. The third thing is a pack symbol which will be unique because this will include fur die tattoos if there is interest. Lastly pack points will also be created for Kesali.

PACK INFORMATION

Tier 1 Rank
Rom-Baro: The main alpha of the pack and also the main decision maker for the pack. Whatever the Rom-Baro says will go no matter what. The Rom-Baro always has the pack's safety and survival in their mind and tries to make the best decisions from there. He will collectively take opinions from others to thought in his decision making.
Phuri: The second in command and the wolf who works directly under the Rom-Baro. Generally this is saved for the Rom-Baro's mate, but this will not always be the case. This is the one wolf that the Rom-Baro trusts above all others and is generally the closest to him. Together the Phuri works to help make the pack work like a team and also helps to take some of the leadership responsibilities.
Chava/Chavi: male/female heir to the pack. 99% of the time it will be the Rom-Baro's own children or family that will gain this rank, but again there may always be a chance were he feels there is another wolf more fitting.

Tier 2 Rank
Drarnego: One of the Rom-Baro's council of three. This wolf is also the master healer of the pack and knows as much as there is to know about healing. This wolf is in charge of keeping track of the herb stock, instructing other healers what is needed to be collected, enforcing regular healer training, and determining what level of skill a healer in the pack has.
Amria: Is the master in battle and defense knowledge. This wolf is in charge of tracking border patrols, enforcing fight & Defense training, and picking the head traveling guardians that go with those wolves who are sent out to trade with packs and loners. This wolf is also the guardian of the council members, the Phuri, and the Rom-Baro if they choose to leave the pack lands and request aid.
Baxtalo: This is the one and only diplomat of the pack, the wolf that oversees anything pertaining to pack and loner relations. Working with the Drarnego they aid in the herb stocks, food stocks, and the trinket stocks. They organize the groups that travel pack to pack to trade and ensure relationships between other packs and our own. The Baxtalo also serves as the festival organizer and the priest for more ceremonial things the pack does.

Tier 3 Rank: Rank
Drabéngro: These are the expert healers of the pack and work directly under the Drarnego. They are in charge of getting apprentices paired with trainers and to keep track of how they are doing. They also aid in the testing of advancement for the lower ranking healers in the pack
Kooli: Working directly under the Amria this is the pack's main line of defense and protectors. They are also the trusted guardians that are to travel with the groups going out to trade with other packs and bands. If the pack is ever attacked they are the front lines and the merciless fighters that will defend the pack.
Lel: These are the eyes and ears outside of the packs. Their duty is collect information on packs, territories, and bands. They are also considered the pack's scholars and should have knowledge on the weather, the moon phases, and the stars.
Barvalimos: These wolves are the main traders for the pack. They are the wolves chosen to travel to places to trade with others. They also should have decent knowledge of herbs, game animals, and crafts so they know their worth when trading with others.
Doodah: This group is in charge of feeding the pack and bringing in game to keep the food storage stocked. They organize pack hunts and work with the lower level hunters in training them. They also work with the crafters in the pack to gain knowledge in traps and tanning furs.

Tier 4 Rank:
Pattríensis: Intermediate to advanced healers in the pack that are working themselves to settle into the Drabéngro rank. Most often these wolves will be the ones taking on apprentices and going out to gather herbs.
Ferari: The crafters of the pack, experienced in making various things for the pack to use or to be of value to trade. They could know anything from simple bandages to making beds or traps. They normally have creative minds and are always looking for things to use to make into something.
Gavver: The second line of defense and offense in the pack. They are more inexperienced and are often being taken on and trained by the Kooli. They are to attend every fight training session as well as sparring with fellow pack mates.
Mas: Lower level hunters in the pack that are still working and gaining knowledge in their trade. Most are easily able to hunt small game in their own and able to do fairly simple tracking. They are the apprentices that the Doodah take on and are to attend every hunt training session and every pack hunt that is called.
Patrin: The travel bugs that have the knowledge and skill of navigation. They like to travel and to learn about the various territories of Ardent. They learn and report back to Lel to report their findings so that it may be passed on to the other members of the pack. They may even travel with the healers on their quest to gather herbs to explore and help find herbs that are needed.

Tier 5 Rank:
Gabori: These wolves have a like for shiny things and look for things such as jewelry, to bags, to anything they could find left over from the humans decades ago. They tend to have good noses like the hunters and like to travel like the Patrin.
Churara: Lowest level of fighters in the pack. Their main duties are to learn and to be the pack's main border patrol. They are early in their learning stages and take most of their time to train their bodies to become higher level.
Drab: These are Novice healers, ones that know enough to treat minors wounds and minor illness'. These wolves are still expected to attend all training sessions that are called and to test each other. They also help the Chitries with their duties
Chitries: Beginner healers, the first step in their skill set within the pack. Their duties consist of studying, learning, and learning basic care. This starts with aiding the elderly of the pack and babysitting the young pups of the pack. This also means they help make sure expecting and new mothers have everything they need to remain comfortable.

Tier 6 Rank:
Manush: This is only meant to be a temporary rank. When first joining the pack if you are unable to decide on a rank or need to be tested you will first be placed here. This is also a rank designated for young wolves in apprenticeship and are working their way to know where they want to go within the pack.
Tenimos: The youth of the pack. They gain this rank upon their birth up until they are in apprenticeship. It is another rank that is only temporary.
Lashav: Omegas

Laws:
  • Rom-Baro's word is law. Though he is highly considerate of his members thoughts and opinions he tries to make decisions based on what is best for the pack as a whole and his word goes. Do not question and respectfully listen to what he has to say.

  • Honer and be considerate of your pack mates. The pack is family which means fighting among the pack won’t be tolerated. If you have issues with another member and don't know how to handle it, feel free to come to the Rom-Baro for help and he will help you work through the issues.

  • Privacy is a must, no need to share information other's don't need to know. We would like to stay clear of quarrels between other packs, this means who and what is traded to who shouldn't be discussed with other packs.

  • Respect and be kind with other packs. We do not want to start fights or a war with another pack so we must remain respectful of their rules when we go to trade. If you prove you are unable to do this your rights to be a trader for the pack.

  • Rank Challenges are allowed for certain ranks. Challenges can happen for the fighting ranks only. Healing and hunting ranks are based on the knowledge you can show in your posts and your skill numbers.

  • Teamwork is highly encouraged. Everyone will have their rank, but this does not mean this is the only thing you do in the pack. It is highly encouraged to learn and help other ranks within the pack, knowledge is the key to life in the Rom-Baro's eyes. Those who pitch in wherever it's needed will not go unnoticed and will be praised for doing so.

  • Start Young, but we remain careful. We try to start as early as possible when teaching the youth, but this doesn't mean they can be taken out of the pack to do so. All training will remain within the pack borders until they are closer to a year and a half. This also means until they are a year old of age they will remain in the Tenimos rank.

  • Love is encouraged, but respectfully ask! We allow others to find mates and to bare pups, but we do request that you ask the Rom-Baro before conception has happened. The reason we request this is because we need to ensure there is enough food and supplies and room to ensure your young will survive and thrive.

Why You Should Vote for Me: Erövrare will become the flagship pack for the Praetors but will favor bastards and the adopted rather than the official bloodline. members of Erövrare are expected to train and work hard both to defend their lands and should the need arise to wage war against their enemies. The intention is not to spread a bloodline or indoctrinate others to a way of life or belief but to host the strong and create warriors. This pack will feature pack points and rewards to help place members in ranks and to gain standing within the pack from fellow members. There are a lot of changes to the original design of Dauntless, particularly while pertaining to other species which are going to be welcomed as equals.

Erövrare holidays will be geared toward improving skills and will feature challenges such as fighting tournaments, the summer fox hunt, a blind race, a puzzle challenge geared toward intellect and a sort of easter egg hunt for healers. There will be one game per season to encourage activity and each challenge will have a grand prize of one accessory or companion purchased from the gem store by yours truly.

Laws:
✭ All non-Erövrare wolves who enter Erövrare lands are considered prisoners until they have either made an appeal to join their ranks or are granted amnesty by a tier 3 ranked wolf or higher. The ultimate fate of the prisoner however can only be decided by the High Lord or the Viceroy.

✭✭ Ranks are based on skill and performance, marriage or paternity to a high ranked wolf will not carry over to the mate or child. Ranks are only to be given on the basis of capability and merit, children in particular must make a name for themselves rather than inherit titles. Furthermore high ranked wolves cannot nominate their own children or mates during rites of election as it is a conflict of interest.

✭✭✭ Slothfulness and apathy will not be tolerated within Erövrare. Only the strong shall prevail and those that would lounge on the hard work of others are not welcome within Erövrare. If a tier three wolf is failing in their duties or abusing their power it is expected that their rank be challenged for. If the challenger should fail they may still demand a rite of justice, providing they have proof.

✭✭✭✭ The will of the High Lord is law and therefore the laws of Erövrare are subject to change as they see fit. Insubordination and disobedience are subject to harsh punishment and cannot be overruled by a rite of justice. The punishment for committing these crimes can only be decided by the High Lord and no one else.

✭✭✭✭✭ By force or feather all pups born to Erövrare wolves belong to Erövrare or must be disowned. Caring for others outside the pack is considered a capital offence and may be dealt with accordingly. Before joining Erövrare all wolves must renounce their ties to any family that refuses to join Erövrare themselves, however if a family member should seek to find their loved ones by entering Erövrare territory an appeal to join their ranks can be made.

✭✭✭✭✭✭Marriage is a sacred bond that must be treated as such. Committing adultery is a heinous offence and one that should be punished as the affronted partner sees fit. Having children out of wedlock is considered disgraceful, however honor may be restored to the discredited party if either the partner or anyone else demands a Rite of Matrimony after the fact. Rites of Matrimony may be dissolved by rites of justice as long as there are grounds for annulment

Proposed name:l' Asile
Proposed color:#6633ff
Proposed lands:  veterans plateau and the range

Why You Should Vote for Me: l' Asile will be geared towards providing a safe haven for those that have been harmed in the worst of ways. The traumatized and fragile of mind will be welcomed here. Those that have ill intent or have proven to be untrustworthy will be banished from the pack creating a true safe haven for the members. Family is of great importance to the pack and love is encouraged no matter the participants gender or orientation. i also intend to implement a pack point system that will help to earn the higher ranks.

PACK INFORMATION

Tier 1 Rank: meneur
Description: the primary leader of the pack. This wolf is to be respected and obeyed at all times.

Tier 1 Rank: champion
Description: this is the second in command of the pack. This wolf must be a skilled fighter to gain this rank. They are charged with answering rank challenges and pack challenges in place of the meneur of the meneur is less than capable as a fighter. This wolf does not necessarily have to be the mate of the meneur, in fact it is frowned upon to place the rank upon the meneur's mate, as this wolf is also the highest council to the meneur.

Tier 1 Rank: Héritier
Description: the heir or heiress of the pack. This may not always be the child of the meneur. In fact it may be the child of the champion. This wolf must be driven and the next most capable of taking over the pack.

Tier 2 Rank: (3) conseil
Description: these three wolves are the high council to the packs alphas. They need not be the best fighters, hunters, or healers but being adept in one of these skills helps. They are who the alphas consort with when big decisions are made. They are to be respected and obeyed by the pack as they are seen as the wisest wolves. Usually these are elders or those with greater knowledge than the alphas.

Tier 3 Rank: chasseur
Description: the lead hunters. THEse are the most experienced of our hunters and share many of the same duties as the chein but are given a pup to teach their skill to specifically when it is needed.

Tier 3 Rank: guerrier
Description: the lead fighters in the pack. their duties are the same as a combattant but are given a pup to train in their skill when it is needed.

Tier 3 Rank: médecin
Description: The lead healers. their duties are the same as an infirmière but they are given a pup to train in their skill when it is needed.

Tier 4 Rank: combattant
Description: the warriors of the pack. They are in charge of protecting the lands and aiding in border security. They must prove they can protect the pack in honorable combat at the battlefield, though this is only once in their life they are encouraged to continue to do so even after they gain this rank. they are also encourage to teach basic self defense to those in the pack.

Tier 4 Rank: chien
Description: the packs hunters. They are in charge of feeding those who are not capable of feeding themselves. They are allowed to call pack hunts and organize feasts in times of festivities. They are encouraged to teach others the art of hunting so they may feed themselves and the pack as well.

Tier 4 Rank: infirmière
Description: the healers of the pack. they are in charge of healing the wounded and sick, keeping the medical stores stocked, and aiding those that need it. the are encouraged to teach at least basic healing to those in the pack.

Tier 5 Rank: citoyen
Description: a temporary position for those that are in need of sanctuary inside the pack or are looking to join. These wolves have a OC month to decide where they would like to be placed and to prove they are able to be welcomed inside the pack. If they cannot then they will be removed from the pack. They may attempt to rejoin but may be asked to work twice as hard to gain rank.

Tier 6 Rank: puni
Description: A rank not given out lightly. to have this rank means you have done wrong in the pack or are in need of pnishment for something. You are not allowed outside of the borders with this rank or to meet those on the borders.

Laws:

The alphas word is law.

Once it has been completely approved by both alphas and the council, laws and pack decisions are to be abided by, by everyone including the alphas.

Rape, murder and other heinous acts are forbbidden to commit one of these acts will result in banishment and potentially a death sentence should you be caught in the territory or surrounding lands.

Love is encouraged here, no matter the gender of the participants in the relationship. Breeding on the other hand is to be discussed with the alphas and council members to ensure we have not only the space but rscources for pups.

In the event that accidental litters are made, the alpha's and council understand, but all your pups are to be claimed by 'l Asile. If with a loner the loner will have a chance to join or the pack member will have a chance to leave to be with their pups, but they will be asked to denounce anything to do with the litter if the pack member decides to stay and the loner not join.

Kindness is expected here espescially to your packmates, though you are tto be wary of strangers. those that cross our borders without the permissions of a teir one or two member are the exceptions to this. they are to be chased away by any means nescssary or claimed as a puni.

Keep our secrets secret. It is imperative that anything that could be used against us be kept secret. this includes our numbers, locations of dens, the names of our members, and how many warriors we have. you may share our laws, and how the pack opporates or its purpose with those that seek to join however.

use your common sense. if it feels wrong to you or seems like something you shouldn't do, then don't do it. the alphas and council don't have time to babysit you, so they trust you can do the right thing.

Work to earn a rank. Being mated to high ranked wolves or the child of one does not earn you a rank. the alphas only want those that prove they can hold the packs best interest in the high ranks.

Faite as Jewell's guardian is allowed in any and all her threads regardless of the tag. She may enter as she see's fit.

All of Jewell's French will have a span title over it, hover for translations.

Alpha: Ignatius Agnivo
Proposed name: Fýri
Proposed color: #00BFFF
Proposed lands: Gale Gorge and The Red Forest

Why You Should Vote for Me:

This is a pack designed with common pack-pitfalls in mind, all in the hope of creating a pack that encourages players to be involved in the day-to-day life as well as the progression of their character through the ranks. Where the structure and hierarchy in many other packs falls short, Fýri has a unique rank system that will allow higher tier positions to be filled in other ways than just a soul-draining skill grind. The hope here is that it will allow a true pack structure to form, giving players more involvement and enjoyment, while avoiding the dynamic of one or two leaders and the vast majority of the rest of the pack being entry-level ranks. We are hoping to build a pack with a strong culture of its own, where players want to hang out in pack lands and get to know other members beyond just seeing them at meetings.

Fýri will offer Rank Specializations, a unique reputation system, emphasis on crafting, creative uses for your character’s skills and more, all while blending southern and northern European themes. The mix of Roman and Norse culture is so far unseen in Ardent, and should be a good time. Also, my contract dictates that I must add “because its Monster and Monster is kewl. Vote for Mon.”

As of yet the cultural aspect needs to be fleshed out, but as it develops the roman aspects and some features unique to Fýri will become apparent. Expect to see heavy emphasis on an elemental theme, most prominently found in the use of fire. And as far as pack alignment, they’ll likely fall somewhere in the chaotic good area, with lawful good tendencies. Also, common decency requires I admit that fox did extensive work on this shit, so you know the good parts are from her. Anything that sounds like a fork in a garbage disposal is me.

PACK INFORMATION

Tier one

Tier 1 Rank: Konungr or Dróttning (2)
Description: He or She is the ultimate authority in Fýri. What these wolves say goes, and they should always strive to do what is in the best interests of the pack and it’s allies. The Konungr has the final say in making all major decisions. While their Hefnir and Jarls may help with the responsibilities of leadership, anything that affects Fýri’s future falls to the Konungr’s alone. They are trusted and expected to always uphold the values of the pack.

On occasion a secondary alpha may be chosen to share in the responsibilities of leading the pack. This rank required the full trust of the Konungr, exceptional skill in one’s craft as well as great leadership skills.

--

Tier two

Tier 2 Rank: Jarl (2)
Description: The ‘right hand(s)’ of the Konungr, this wolf is their most trusted allies. These wolves are expected to share all the responsibilities of the Konungr, and may call meetings, promote or demote wolves up to tier three without consulting the Konungr, doll out punishment and accept new members. Fýri’s Jarls act as the voice of the Konungr in meetings with other packs should the Konungr be unable to attend. They will advise the Konungr in difficult situations and as charged with ensuring that the wolves in Master ranks are performing their duties as expected.

--

Tier three

Tier 3 Rank: Hefnir (1)
Description: The Heir to the throne of Fýri. The Konungr’s apprentice, in essence. May or may not be a blood relative of the Konungr. Their main job is to learn how to be the Konungr(or Dróttning) in the event that the current Konungr should pass. Extensive training in many fields of study is required, and if the current Hefnir does not impress the Konungr with their drive to succeed, a new one will be chosen to replace them. Once the Konungr thinks them fit, and only then, the Hefnir will be granted more or less the same power as the Jarls, though the Jarls will still outrank them.

Tier 3 Rank: Tiginn (3)
Description: Emissaries of Fýri. They provide trusted council and advice to the Konungr, and are charged with executing most diplomatic meetings when the Konungr cannot go. Masters of navigation, they are always present when trading with allied packs, and oftentimes are the ones who broker relationships with packs Fýri is not yet familiar with.

TIER SIX: Generic ranks. These wolves have a good grip of their chosen trade. They know the basics and can handle more things that come their way with the exception of exceptionally difficult or specialized work. At this stage they may take on apprentices.

Tier 6 Rank: Healer
Description: Charged with tending to the wounds and ailments of their packmates, healers are to be well educated in their craft. Only difficult cases should cause trouble for full fledged healers of Fýri by the time they leave their apprenticeships. Keeping not only their own stores but that for the general use of the pack full of herbs is of utmost importance. Frequent gathering missions will be par for the course, and all the healers should have a good idea of what herbs the pack has and what they need to gather or trade for. Group lessons and meetings will be held regularly to further educate and maintain the skills of all in healing ranks.

Tier 6 Rank: Hunter
Description: Teamwork is stressed the most for this rank. While one may choose to specialize in catching smaller prey later on, hunters should make a point of regularly working with others of their rank to catch larger game and feed the pack. A basic knowledge of the land in and out of the pack should be established and maintained, as well as running knowledge of the majority of the prey that can be found nearby.

Tier 6 Rank: Fighter
Description: Defense is paramount, and the fighters are the backbone of Fýri’s defences. Maintaining fitness is highly important for fighters, and they are all required to attend all fight training. All should keep their skills sharp, though whether this happens through spars inside or out of the pack, or by fending off predators at the border doesn’t matter too much, so long as everyone does at least two of the aforementioned on a regular basis.

Tier 6 Rank: Crafter
Description: Gifted with a creative spirit, the crafters serve an important role in Fýri’s relations with other packs by making trade possible. Whether it is small trinkets or more complex creations, the crafters are always making something. They should learn to make most simple things and go on several successful trade missions before choosing a specialty.

Tier 6 Rank: Scout

The scouts are charged not only with delivering and returning messages to and from other packs, but with learning as much as possible about the packs of Boreas and Auster. They should become adept navigators, keep in exceptional shape, and have good memories.

--

TIER SEVEN:

Tier 7 Rank: Elders
Description: Too old to properly perform their duties, these are the oldest of Fýri and are to be treated with utmost respect as though they held a higher rank. Some may choose to help in training the apprentices, and their wisdom is expected to be valued greatly by all.

Tier 7 Rank: Apprentices
Description: At a year of age the pups will be assigned mentors to educate them in their area of interest. If the children have not picked a career yet they may be assigned multiple wolves to mentour under until they find a job they like. At a year and a half the most committed students will be given a chance to learn from any master ranked wolves in their chosen field for a few weeks.

Apprentices may not always be the young though; if an adult is lacking in skill in the area they wish to work in they may be assigned a more experienced wolf to train with until their skill level is high enough to earn a rank up.

Tier 7 Rank: Unranked
Description: New members who have yet to choose a career path. No one should stay in this position for long. While one is unranked they should still find tasks they can do within the pack to contribute, after all, nothing is free.

Tier 7 Rank: Pups
Description: Fýri’s youngest members, the children and future of the pack. No matter the position of their parents, all pups fall under the same rank and will have to work as they age to achieve higher ranks. Even the Hefnir will not be chosen young. The pack as a whole contributes to raising, loving, teaching, and punishing the pups of Fýri. By three and a half months they will be learning the basics of the skills they will need to survive later on. Before they are a year of age they should all know the gist of how to hunt, treat minor wounds, and fight. No child of Fýri should be allowed to grow into a defenseless adult.

--

TIER EIGHT:

Tier 8 Rank: Punished
Description: The omegas, more or less. The lowest of the actual members, these are wolves who have broken the rules, challenged the Konungr’s authority publicly and without cause, slacked in their duties or otherwise done wrong. It is expected that they will complete punishing assignments given by a Tier one through three wolf in order to regain favor. Failure to do so will result in harsher punishment or expulsion from the pack.

Tier 8 Rank: Prisoners
Description: Those who were captured during times or war or because they’ve trespassed on packs lands and refused to leave. Prisoners are not to be treated poorly, though the quality of their captivity is largely contingent on good behavior. A prisoner who causes trouble for the pack will be dealt with quickly and severely.

Tier 8 Rank: Gladiator (Captive)
Description: When a wolf is taken captive by Fyri, they are occasionally given a choice. They can wither away in confinement, or earn a chance at freedom. A wolf who is able to prove themselves in the gladiatorial arena, while also earning the admiration of the pack, might be allowed to leave as a free wolf. You know, if they aren’t maimed or killed first.

--

Tier 9: OOC Ranks

Tier 9 Rank: Exiled
Description: Those who have been cast permanently out of Fýri, either for committing a heinous crime or failing severely to do their duties within the pack. Once exiled, only extraordinary circumstances could convince the Konungr to reconsider and end the exile. Therefore one should consider this permanent.

Tier 9 Rank: Enemy
Description: Those who have wronged Fýri in some way. Enemies are not made lightly, but once one becomes an enemy of Fýri is it near impossible to change one’s status.

Tier 9 Rank: Refugee
Description: Those facing persecution elsewhere may find a home within Fýri. Depending on the [Alpha]’s decision, they may stay temporarily, or choose to join the pack later on. Those seeking refuge must still contribute to the pack like a true member if they were physically able

Tier 9 Rank: Borrowed
Description: Wolves who are on loan from other packs. Fýri is happy to exchange the teachings of its members for the help of wolves in other packs. Borrowed members are to be treated with as much respect as regular members, though they hold little power aside from calling meetings to teach their craft.

Tier 9 Rank: Deceased
Description: Members of the pack who have since passed on. They are remembered specifically at certain festivals.

- - -

Laws
The Konungr is the ultimate authority - If you join, you ought to have faith in his leadership. To go against his orders is punishable, to insult his decision making unfathomable. While he is not perfect, he gives much of himself to the tending of the pack and expects the respect of his members in return.

Attendance is not optional - Attend all meetings, or find yourself punished. Meetings are where you will hear important information, received rank ups, healers will discuss the state of their herb stores and trade routes will be determined and dates set to visit other packs, among much else. Failure to attend a mandatory meeting without good excuse is sure to have consequences. Failure to attend rank-related training is just as bad. Rank ups are really not difficult but failure to get to meetings will absolutely inhibit them, even for wolves who meet the basic requirements.

Just cause you want it doesn’t mean you’ll get it - While rank challenges are not unheard of, they are only allowed in specific circumstances. Most often, a master ranked wolf who the Konungr believes worthy of the opportunity to challenge may try for a higher tiered rank with the exception of the Hefnir or tier one ranks. Whether or not the challenge is even allowed is entirely up to the Konungr. If he says no, respect it and focus on moving up through hard work.

Help one another - Fýri is only as strong as the ties between members. Becoming a cohesive unit, learning to trust and work well alongside your peers can only benefit you and the pack. If someone from a different rank needs assistance, no matter their job or yours, help them out. Go out in groups to accomplish multiple duties when leaving pack lands, spend time together and forge bonds.

Don’t be helpless - Don’t be helpless. This pack and these lands are no place for the inept. If you do not know the bare basics of hunting, healing, and fighting you must agree to learn, or leave. The knowledge need only be rudimentary, but it is important nonetheless. No member of Fýri should be doomed perish if they wander from the packlands.

Pull your weight - Whether you’ve found your life’s calling or not, every member must do what they can to provide for the pack. Even if is just helping the healers organize their herbs, or following along on a border patrol. Everyone can do something, and should. If this is your home, care for it and it’s members like they matter to you.

Don’t start it if you can’t finish it - While continued fighting within the pack is discouraged, if the conflict becomes great a higher ranked wolf is free to intervene and deliver an ultimatum. Cease the fighting, or battle it out physically with a witness. Battles between pack members must have one wolf of a tier higher than the participants witnessing to both determine the winner and end the fight before major injuries can occur. Do not escalate a conflict you are not willing to fight out, and accept the witnessing wolf’s final judgement.

Lastly, ya get to have a sneak peek of some of the things we plan to implement into the pack. By no means finished versions, but a good idea of what is to come!
FOX’S HIVE OF MANY IDEA
PACK STRUCTURE

Reputation System: Some sort of arrangement where pack members can get points for spending time with other pack members, threading in pack lands, working within their specialization, following laws and upholding pack values. This could allow people to move ranks without grinding skill threads. A sort of metric that is visible to all members, something to be referred to at meetings and in other interactions. Like a way for people to know who how respected another member in the pack ought to be. Apprentices who gather the most reputation in their training might get put in a higher rank when they move up in rank.

Tier 1 & 2 players would be responsible for tracking these. Maybe we could have a sub board made for people to post links to, like a mini maintenance?

Ex. Points:

+1 - Attempted thread with pack members
+1 - Attempted Skill thread
+3 - Completed Thread on pack lands/with pack members
+3 - Met rogue at border
+3 - Practice Spar
+5 - Lesson with apprentice/mentor
+5 - Participated in Hunt with 3 or more wolves
+5 - Completed skill thread
+5 - Attended pack meeting
+5 - Attended Festival
+7 - Hunting and delivering food to pups/pregnant wolves/elders
+10 - Participated in pack war/siege
+10 - Sired/Birthed litter of pack pups
+20 - Victorious in battle during pack war/siege

CEREMONIES: All official rank-ups must come with a ceremony held by a higher tier wolf, and always at least Tier 1-3. They must be witnessed by at least 2 other pack wolves, and be officially concluded by the overseer. If the thread dies, the rank change does not occur.

NICHE RANKS/SPECIALIZATIONS EXPLAINED

Specializations are, for lack of a better term, ranks within ranks. Your character will choose the path of Fighter, Hunter, Healer, Scout, or Crafter as an apprentice or new member, and over time they will be able to learn from their pack members and acquire new skills. They may at some point decide to specialize in one or more specific skills, and this is where the specializations come in. Your character will be required to complete a certain number of threads before they can be considered proficient in their skill. If they are learning from a wolf who has already specialized in the same area, the required threads will be fewer.

A character who does so successfully will find many new perks within the pack. Foremost, they may find themselves moving up the ranks more quickly. They will receive Reputation points within the pack, on top of the skill points they will earn during the process. They may find themselves on the receiving end of gifts from the pack gem fund which will correlate to the specialization chosen. Above all, this is an opportunity for the player to help develop their character in new and interesting ways, while allowing them to find a place in the pack that is unique to them. Theoretically, each member of the pack would eventually have their own unique role to play.

POSSIBLE PACK EVENTS
 -Pack Lotto
-This is a way to provide the pack a working pool of gems for prizes, gifts, and rewards for achieving certain milestones within pack structure. To participate, each member can buy a Lotto Ticket for 50 gems each. They may purchase as many as they like, and each will count as one entry for the drawing. At the end of each season half of the ticket sales will be given away to the winning member, while the remainder will be added to the Pack Fund.

 -Harvest Festival
- An awesome concept, but it seems as though all too often the threads do not get finished. Fyri’s Festival would hopefully break this cycle. The rough idea here is that the festival would be open to all wolves, both members and non-members of the pack, with the IC rationale being to increase the pack’s network, and to both offer and receive training of all sorts. I’m envisioning it as a wolf Renn Faire and tbh, my soul needs it. Players would be encouraged to donate prizes, alongside Fyri’s Pack Fund, as well. For example a player might make a few designs to add to a randomly designated prize pool, which are given out to winners of skill challenges

 -Forums
A good ‘ol roman legacy. Fyri would frequently offer training threads to wolves both in and out of the pack. Their members are encouraged to gain skills wherever they might be found. Hopefully once per season, or once every other, they would gather with wolves of all skill levels to participate. Each forum would be dedicated to a certain skill, including craft, with the exception of Fighting becaauusseee….

-MOTHERTRUCKING GLADIATORS, MAN
Can’t have a Roman pack without Gladiators, and you know Nordic sorts were always down for a good brawl. It just makes sense.

-Something to entice mentors to actually be active with their apprentices. Idk what, but def an area of interest

 - Pack-based random events created and dispersed at intervals by the alpha?

sigh I had a whole new thing I wanted to put up for newer version of the pack but it's on my laptop and I don't have it with me today so old info it is :c (this took me forever with the phone ToT)

Alpha: Dragon
Proposed name: Talis (may change, haven't decided yet)
Proposed color: #DE4A00 or #1589ff

Proposed lands: Soul Sand Cove & Waterfall Peak

Why You Should Vote for Me: birthday present? Lol
Currently working on a new pack system that should be done real soon! This newer version will have new features that the old one didn't. Trading is among one of them (I don't want to spoil too much!). There is also a new hierarchy/ranking/recognition system that I am working on as well! Skills will play a part in this, but that won't be the only deciding factor! I'm in the process of making new changes, so stay tuned!

Other than that, Talis(?) Is geared towards those who want to better themselves and their abilities. Wolves from all walks of life are welcome, though keep in mind that individuals with darker tendencies will be carefully watched until the Alphas feel they have earned trust. Keep in mind, however, that wolves who seek to join for the sole purpose of only receiving and not helping the pack will not be tolerated.

PACK INFORMATION

Tier 1 Rank:
Drakon: The Drakon is the absolute king of Talis. Every decision he makes is final, and his word is law. Handles most major affairs concerning the pack, and ultimately decides who is allowed to join. Rarely will he allow someone else to make decisions for the pack, save for the Drakaina.

Drakaina: The queen of Talis. This position is only given to the Drakon’s mate should she be a good fit to lead along side him. In the event that she has no interest in leading, or is not a good fit, then another female may take this role (in this case, a non-mate). The Drakaina has as much power as the Drakon, though may not surpass his decision should it be final. The pair works closely together, and are equal in position, thus sharing many of the responsibilities.

Tier 2 Rank:
Anakrino: The judge of Talis, also serves as the lead beta rank. He/She is entrusted with the task of ensuring each member receives the proper praise or punishment based on the member's performance within Talis. The Anakrino has the ability to promote and demote members as they see fit, as long as it's within reason. This wolf may greet wolves at the borders, and test the skills of potential members to gauge their abilities to determine whether or not they are a good match for the pack. This wolf also doubles as an advisor to the Drakon and Drakaina, and their input is highly valued. Whoever holds this rank must be extremely loyal to the pack, and is to be respected.

Taxiarchès & Taxiarchos: Primary and Secondary Beta pair. Positions to be held by one female (Taxiarchès) and one male (Taxiarchos). Does not have to be a mated pair. These are the commanders of the Tier 3 ranks, and oversee training as well as distributing jobs and duties to the rest of the pack. They aid the Tier 1’s with duties such as patrolling, greeting new arrivals at the borders, testing potential members, and may sometimes be asked to venture to other packs on business occasions. The beta pair must get along and work as a single unit to ensure the rest of the pack is strong, and are to put the packs well being above their own. Talis is their main priority, and taking this rank is a commitment. These two must answer to the Anakrino when required, as well as work closely with him or her to ensure that everyone is on the same page.

Tier 3 Rank:
Crimson Knight: Elite warriors of Talis. Several members may hold this rank, but only one will serve as a Squad Leader.
These wolves have proved themselves to be the best of the best when it comes to fighting. They have no fear, and never back down from a challenge. Crimson Knights are the first on the front lines in times of combat, and their skills are highly valued. Crimson Knights are highly loyal to the pack, and they serve Talis without question.

Crimson Guard: Elite guardians of Talis. Similar to the Crimson Knight, one will be selected as a Squad Leader. These wolves are the defenders of the pack, defending it from intruders, trespassers, raiders, etc. These wolves are generally more bulky and heavy built, though not always. They are first to meet the enemy the moment the boundaries are crossed, and also serve as a second line of defense or attack during times of war.

Crimson Mage: Elite healers of Talis. One will be selected as Squad Leader. The wolves in this rank have proven to be the best healers, and loyally serve the pack. Their skills are highly valued, as they are tasked with keeping the pack healthy and prepared. These wolves are often looked up to for their vast knowledge of herbal remedies among other things. The wolves in this rank are expected to pass on their knowledge to the other members of the pack, and to make sure each member knows at least the basics in the event of an accident.

Crimson Fang: Elite hunters of Talis. One will be selected as Squad Leader. The Crimson Fang are in charge of coordinating hunts and making sure the food stores are full and the members fed. Granted every member is capable of hunting for themselves, the Crimson Fang are still a valuable asset to the pack. They are often charged with tracking prey and finding the best hunting grounds, as well as other potentially discreet tasks given to them.

Tier 4 Rank:
Knight: The main fighting force of Talis. Generally the fighters still working to improve their skills. Once they have proven themselves and their loyalty, then they may be promoted to Crimson rank. Knights must attend all fight training, and they must join in combat when required.

Crusader: Crusaders are the main force used for raiding. These wolves are the infantry, often going in for the first attack when ordered. They work with the higher ranks, and must attend all fighting and defensive training. Crusaders are required to participate in all combat related situations, and wherever else that they are ordered to.

Talon: Talons are specially chosen within Talis for a job more dangerous than the rest. They are Talis’ bounty hunters, a job that requires absolute dedication and focus, as well as strength and excellent tracking skills. Wolves who take on a Talon rank understand the potential dangers and difficulties behind the job. This rank is best suited for wolves who have great fighting ability, and the ability to remain undetected when stalking their targets. Their mission is to track, find, and capture their targets. Should they succeed, then they are rewarded for the completion of their missions.

Tier 5 Rank:
Unranked: Wolves who have not chosen a specialization or rank. New members are temporarily placed here until skills are assessed.

Fledgling: Wolves between the age of one (1) season to one (1) year. This is an in training rank. All Fledglings must attend every training called by higher ranking members regardless of which field they wish to pursue, and must obey the laws or risk a delay in their promotions at the end of their training. They must respect and obey all higher ranks, and must train with their assigned mentor(s). Fledglings aren't necessarily respected, but neither are they treated with disrespect. As long as they adhere to the laws and do what they're told, then they will be promoted upon the turning of their first year.

Hatchling: The children of Talis who are under a season old.

Laws:
Loyalty is expected to be given to the Alpha(s) and the pack as a whole first and foremost. Outsiders and those who do not reside within Talis are not a priority. Family outside the pack may be an exception depending on the situation. You are expected to work hard, putting all your efforts into your duties and devoting yourself to your home -- your family -- though not everyone is related by blood, those who reside here will be considered as family. Protect each other like you would true blood.

✠ Trust is a key part within the pack and without it, you will not go far. The Drakon takes trust very seriously, and those who break it will find themselves facing the consequences. The Alpha expects members to get along and work together, regardless of your misgivings or feelings towards other members. Should there be any disputes, then members are expected to work them out. Refusal to do so will get the Drakon involved.

✠ Respect is not something that is given freely, and the Drakon understands that. However, while you are not required to respect lower tiers, you are expected to respect those above you and those equal to you, regardless of who they are. If you willingly choose to act like a jerk and a punk, however, then don't expect to be respected. If you want to be respected, then threat others how you'd want to be treated. Simple.

✠ To attain a higher rank requires hard work and effort in the necessary skills as well as within the pack. Promotions will not be given to those who do nothing, and the Alpha knows who does what around the pack. When you feel you are ready to challenge for a rank, speak with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 and they will determine whether or not you are allowed to challenge. Keep in mind, if your activity is low within the pack, you will not be granted the position regardless of your winnings. Lack of effort and duty will result in demotions with or without warning.

✠ Activity within the pack is your key to success. The Drakon is more likely to grant your challenges for higher ranks and possibly even grant special privileges. However, if your activity is low to none he will not, and may even completely deny your challenges and demote you until you prove that you truly want the position. Those who sit around on their backsides and do nothing, will be demoted down to Omega and will remain there until they work their way back up, or leave.

✠ When it comes to love, the Drakon does not care who you choose to fall in love with. However, keep in mind that mating with wolves from other packs is not allowed, unless that wolf chooses to leave their pack to join Talis first. If a Talis wolf and a loner should have pups, then those pups are expected to join Talis, else the pack member risk being demoted to an Omega for breaking the rules. In the event of a Talis wolf having pups with a wolf from another pack, then the Drakon will get involved, and the Talis member demoted to Omega for breaking the rules. In other words, don't risk breaking this rule, or there will be consequences. Failure to comply may, at some point, result in punishment beyond just demotion to an Omega.

✠ Not everyone may get along, and those who have gotten on each others nerves may settle their disputes however they wish, but may not go beyond moderate maims. Simply inform a Tier 2 or higher member to oversee the fight. Keep in mind they will not be allowed to interfere in any way without good reason.

✠ Trespassers are to be attacked on sight, no exceptions!!! Trespassers or those who show up at the borders and act with hostility are to be force claimed as a Doulos or Tresantes. Talis is not a pack of snowflakes, and will not tolerate such behavior from outsiders and those who choose to disrespect them. The only wolves who are exempt from this rule are the ones who have been granted permission from the Drakon, and the pack will be informed of those who are allowed on pack territory. Allies or outsiders wishing to see the Alpha(s) must stop at the borders, else they risk being attacked. Talis' safety and privacy comes first and foremost, and outsiders who trespass may be seen as threats. Failure to stop at the borders will result in consequences regardless of who you are. But as mentioned before, only those with permission to cross the borders are allowed to do so. All others are subject to a variety of things. Don't do it.
