Firefly Festival: Firefly Catching Contest
When the sun goes down and the day's festivities start to come to a close, the island seems to come alive with fireflies. Each contestant gets a single jar or bag, whichever they choose, and the goal of the game is to collect as many as possible! How To Play
- At night, go to hunt some fireflies! These posts need to take place at night, and there must be some mention of attempting to catch fireflies. Fireflies can be caught in any reasonable container that is handed out at the event start (your choice!), whether it be a bag or a jar of some sort.
- You can attempt to catch fireflies 5 times! Each attempt will catch a random amount, from from 1-3 fireflies, which can be turned in for tickets.
- If your character has a companion who decides to join in on the contest (purchased before the event start - and only one is allowed per char to join), the companion has a chance to find a firefly each turn to add to their total!
- Like the Fishing Derby, while the posts do need to be focused on firefly catching, other things can certainly be happening during these threads - conversation, lessons, etc. Feel free to use these for skill claims as long as they apply!
Please post all firefly catching threads here, link all firefly catching attempts in the Discord channel firefly-catching-contest! Please note if a companion is helping catch them with your character. These requests will be deleted as they are rolled, and your posts will be edited to show the fireflies caught.
