SLED RACE

Fairly self explanatory, this event is simply a race to the bottom of a snowy hill. Bring whatever sort of sled you desire, whether crafted or otherwise obtained, or - for the more daring - simply slide down on your rear! The first three to reach the bottom win.

There was a race! She'd one the last one, so why not try to win this one as well? Iolaire brought the same sled that she'd used when she raced against Borias. There had been time for some modifications, so she had smoothed it down considerably. She used sand to make the roughened wood sleek and had added oils and wax to make it shine. It now glided nicely over the snow. She'd originally crafted it for the snow leopard cubs to use, but since she hadn't given it to them yet, she would use it one last time. Arriving at the contest, Iolaire situated herself at the top of the hill. Other competitors were adding their own sleds and she admired the different handiwork from afar. When the signal was given, she pushed off, tucking her small body down within the bowl. The curved front kept her from nosediving into drifts. Quick as a whip, she raced down the hill. Who would arrive at the bottom first was anyone's guess, but she hoped that she would be the one. Either way, she was thoroughly enjoying herself. "Speech"

Venom let her white gloved paws carry her to the area that boasted the competition. She adorned an amused Klein smirk as she spied Iolaire and made her way closer to the Armada healer. The Princess had rid herself of the bark sled that she had used with Chimera and instead brought along a piece that she had found afterwards.

She had a thin sheet of some kind of metal, it was round and smooth on the bottom while she had placed a bit of fur to protect her while she sat. She positioned herself near Io and as the started was called she hunkered down and pushed herself down. The roundness of her sled made her prone to spinning, but she was able to keep it under control until she was near the bottom. Suddenly she started to spin near the finish line and she wasn’t quite so assured of her victory.

Pestilence had gotten a good practice run in sledding with Mort, and this time she came to win. Her and Pasketti had made a sled version 2.0, this time with stronger thicker bark that had been smoothed down on the outside and a softer hide for sitting. She'd even convinced the monkey to put in a few vines for her to hold onto with, as her first iteration had nothing to help her balance during the race. Shooting her sister a grin she moved up alongside the crown princess and Iolaire, carefully positioning her feet perfectly upon the sled for maximum stability. Once the start was called, she kicked off with a hind foot and started off down the hill. This time she pulled back her ears to protect them from the whipping wind, narrowing her eyes and looking completely competitively serious about the entire affair.
