He was back for the second time. It had been a few days since his last visit, and so far this seemed to be the best place to try and better his skills. He could fight his uncle all day long, but he knew how his uncle fought and he wanted to pit himself against strangers to learn new ways of fighting as well as to see how others fought as well. The monochromatic male paused in the clearing, keen eyes searching the horizon for any would-be opponents. Tilting his head back, he called for someone to come fight him. "Talk, 'Think.'

Kaija had always been content being purposeless, but lately that lack of direction was starting to feel less fun. Constant worry about Ophie seemed to plague her now, and though some days were harder than others, she knew she couldn't sulk around forever. Life went on even without her, but without her things were a whole lot less rewarding and fun. Nothing she could do about it now though other than to keep looking for her wherever she went… or dedicate every waking moment to finding her. That sounded appealing but she knew it wasn't exactly realistic.

The least she could do was work on getting in shape, though, in case she decided she wanted to go that route. Living on her own since she was young meant she was already pretty well-rounded and self-sufficient but she hadn't really spent a lot of time focusing on making sure she was ready to fight. Maybe kick someone's ass if she needed to. Whatever.

Making her way further south than she'd been in awhile, she was glad when she heard someone looking for a fight. May as well take advantage of it while she could. Picking up her pace, she slowed when the stranger came into view, giving him a lopsided grin. "Looking for a fight? Me too. Let's do it," she exclaimed. She didn't feel the need to waste time on pleasantries. He was looking for a fight and she could provide, the rest didn't seem to matter.

Without waiting, once she was within leaping distance of him, she charged him. Kaija didn't make it a surprise she was coming, not that she was a terribly sly wolf, as bulky as she was. Her attack would be obvious but she hoped the sheer force behind her heavier weight would work to her advantage. Charging him straight on, as she aimed to collide with him she lifted her front paws and meant to bring them down on his shoulders, hopefully forcing him down toward the ground.

Someone was arriving, and not just any someone, but someone that matched him in height. The woman had tusks, something he hadn't seen on another wolf before, but then again he couldn't say much. After all, his eyes glowed and his fangs were obsidian...so in a way, she wasn't the only odd one. She approached and was eager to fight, her words earning a grin from Finan. "Alrigh' then!" After that, the pair set into motion. She wasted no time in coming at him, which sort of set him off-guard, but as she charged and collided with his chest, the black-and-white male spread his legs apart in an attempt to keep from sliding back too much. He grunted and groaned from her heavier bulk, and then came the paws on his shoulders. Shit! He hadn't expected this! He locked his limbs to try and keep himself steady, to make her exert herself more as she tried to force him down while he thought of a plan. There wasn't much he could do beyond trying to back out, or dropping to the ground. In a ditch attempt, he twisted his head around towards her foreleg, jaws open as he sought to bite down in a bid to force her off of him. She didn't spend very long studying him, noting his oversized fangs and the way his eyes glowed unnaturally. Weird, sure, but she'd seen plenty of weird so it didn't phase her. She was more interested in getting right to the point and getting this fight started rather than anything else. She was glad when she charged him that the fight wasn't over quickly; he braced himself for the weight of her body colliding with his own, Trying to bear her weight down onto his shoulders to keep him lower than her took a lot of exertion, and she knew she wouldn't be able to keep it up as he fought back.

The bite he landed on one of her forelimbs. It was enough to disrupt the flow of what she was doing, her opposite leg slipping off his shoulder as she attempted to yank the other one free from his grasp. It was a risky move, one that could easily prove dangerous for her if he decided to bite down harder, but if he was hoping just to force her off him, maybe it would work. As she did so she tucked her head low, trying to line up her forehead with the side of his muzzle - whipping her head around to aim a smack to the side of his face.
