their second trip to the ocean is a cold, miserable one, rife with cold water and frost-strewn sand. grumbling under their breath, Spider pads to its tumultuous edge, scowling down at the grey waves lapping at their feet. they can’t believe some wolves actually like this; Wylan is crazy to think the beach is anything but a sensory nightmare. it’s loud and messy and it throws granules into their face, making them shut their eyes and vigorously shake the their pelt. still, they’re older now, and they’re going to best this biome. stepping past the sand, they let out a hiss of shock as cold pierces their toes, freezing the skin…and them in place. at once they’re shuddering as memories of cold black water flood their brain, wrenching them back to that terrifying, miserable night. they’d really thought they were going to die. it’d been in their ears, their eyes, up their nose…gritting their teeth, Spider stumbles back from the water’s edge, staring with wide-eyed terror as waves lap at the shore. they couldn’t lift a paw, couldn’t take another step forward of backwards. they were just…stuck. |
Spider has a male raven companion named Doomsday and a female snake companion named Lady Snakeskin. Assume they are present unless stated otherwise.
