Something Bright to Light up Your Eyes

To try and chase the sorrow from her face, Mistral had taken his sister to a bright, vibrant valley. At the center, a lazy river wound its way throughout. Many different animals went to the river to drink and the hulking brute took this opportunity to catch something nice for his sister to eat.

Mistral had left Cie beside the river in what he deemed a safe place. He wasn't going to be far away. The behemoth managed to hide himself within the tall, blowing grasses. The antelope never saw him coming. With the young ungulate dead and clutched between his jaws, Mistral strode stiff legged back towards Cierzo.

Claret eyes rested upon the resting form of his sibling. She was beautifully painted in colors of blush and brown. Her delicate frame was slender. Too slender, Mistral thought. He hoped that, being away from her abusers and stressors, the woman would flourish. So far, this was not the case. He wouldn't stop trying, however. He would never give up on her.

The striped titan placed the young antelope before Cierzo almost like a tender little gift. He then moved to the river to slake his thirst. She could eat her fill. If there was any left, he'd eat as well. If not, he'd catch another. For now, Mistral move back to Cie and curled against her side as she ate.
