Kotori moved to the meeting circle, following with him was his snow Leopard, Splash, and on the leopard's back the blue-glowing mongoose Fang.  Fang balanced a small wooden cage and on the inside was a young rabbit that was only half-grown.

Kotori moved near his rock but didn’t bother hopping up on it.  The small cage was removed from Splash’s back and placed in front of Kotori.  The little rabbit’s heart was racing and smelled of fear.  It certainly had a good reason since it would be a training tool.  Quite possibly it would suffer more than a normal hunt since inexperienced children would have to learn how to make killing bites.

Splash moved to the right right side of the circle and Fang took up a position on the left side.  If the children failed to keep up with the rabbit would still have a hard time escaping.  Kotori howled, calling for any of the pups who desired a lesson on hunting.  He knew of at least two with interest.

Shochu had been attempting to dig a root of the ground from a tree, not realizing just how impossible the task would be, when Kotori’s call for puppies interested in hunting reached his ears. The boy paused his digging, tail wagging as he looked up. He wanted more hunting lessons! Kotori had already tried to help him once. Looking over his shoulder he called to his papa. “Papa I’m going to see Kotori!” He hoped that he heard him, especially since his papa was also trying to keep an eye on his other siblings.

But without waiting for a response Shochu was off, back in the direction of the rapids. His little paws hit the ground hard as he raced to be the first one there, and to his delight he was! He grinned as he saw their leader, tail wagging as he greeted the older male. “Hello Kotori!” He noticed the rabbit in the cage and his eyes lit up. Was that going to be their prey? It wouldn’t stand a chance if some of his siblings came!

"Speech," 'Thoughts.'
